Canelos a mediocre fighter. True "hypejob," IMO

He's probably got the best JMW resume around right now. Trout and Lara were the #1 guys there basically or one of the top 2 there. And Angulo was a Top 10 guy. Lara and Trout were guys he was supposed to avoid and never fight, and then get schooled by.

They were close fights but he beat them. And he's still only 23. I might just become a fan because of all the blatant bias hate coming from you guys.
      Let's be honest. JMW sucks.

I have no bias for or against Canelo. He is a very ordinary fighter who got gifted a "solid résumé"

He's young but I see no room for improvement. He is what he is. A limited, flat footed fighter who doesn't have KO power or elite boxing skills. He's average and has had a very lucky career IMO.

I have nothing against Canelo. I just think he's an overrated boxer

          Angulo was not top ten.

Only good wins on his resume are trout and Lara and both of those fights were very close and could have gone either way easily. How is canelo supposed to establish himself as the next best thing if he can't dominate a top opponent. All he is is one big money sign.

Pacquiao would take Canelo to "Margaritoville" if they fought @ 154.

Apparently if you aren't bigger than the guy you can't beat him? Get outta here.

So lets put a Jr Middleweight in with two P4P Lightheavyweights (Andre ward, close enough) and he'll lose? Awesome logic there champ.

They got weight classes for a reason,, no catchweight, manny has no chance vs 170 lbs canelo.. Maybe the super manny of 2008-2010 but not the present version, though I would give manny a better chance than bradley

Canelo lost to Floyd. Estrada lost to Gonzalez.

Both have beaten two excellent champs though. Difference being that Estrada won his fight clearer, but it was against an older Viloria who is probably past his best now, while Lara is in his prime at his absolute peak.

Canelo has also done it twice, albeit in two close fights. Lara and Trout. He was a deserving winner of both though, despite both being close fights.

Still, Estrada is actually one of my favourite young fighters today. Great style, excellent offense. Improving too. Can't wait to see if those two have a rematch. Estrada looked better when he moved up. The Gonzalez fight taught him well.

Sure he's young. But I don't see him getting any better.

He wouldn't even beat Geale, Murray or Macklin at 160 IMHO.
Go troll somewhere else and give Canelo the respect he desserves you bum.

Angulo was certainly a Top 10 fighter at 154, you wouldn't have him as a Top 10 fighter there after the fight with Lara???

Lara was the flavor of the month avoided guy who'd beat anyone in the history of the world the last year or so. Angulo dropped him twice, and was in a neck and neck fight until the freak punch to Angulos eye. Angulo was certainly a Top 10 fighter at 154.

Name fighters that dominate top opponents consistently or at all....

Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ward, Rigondeaux, and maybe Wlad at heavyweight though that division is garbage. There;s only a handful of fighters on the planet that dominate guys over and over.

Canelo just beats them I guess....LOL
