Using logic, critical thinking and rational thought has nothing to do with "belief"

this seems to be the new trend at golden boy have 2 stars fight on same card in same weight classes both against bums then pretend they will fight each other even tho most likely they wont. Getting old quick

HBO stopped doing business with Haymon and Schaefer because they were trying to feed the public bull**** fights. But jumped in bed head first with Arum. Who is currently trying to sell us on Pacquiao-Algeri. And for the record I don't have near the problem with Pacquiao-Algeri that the majority do.
Yes, and TopRank/HBO is fresh off giving us Crawford-Gamboa. Granted, that was an inter-promotional fight, but I give credit to Bob Arum for working with other promoters to give us FOTY caliber events. So, HBO is definitely giving us better shows post-Haymon. Showtime isn't even trying anymore. They're just counting on Al Haymon fans tuning in. I have Showtime and I'm still going to live stream their 8/9 and 9/6 cards. They don't deserve to include my viewership in their ratings.

Furthermore, and I'm sure we'll talk about this a great deal in the buildup to the fight, but anyone who thinks Algieri (A World Champion) doesn't deserve a shot a Pacquiao, or can't beat Pacquiao, is just displaying their lack of knowledge of the sport. It's not a flashy billing, but I believe Algieri is going to give Pacquiao more problems than Tim Bradley ever gave him.

Of course people are angry bf we hear the match ups be we already know a number of good fights could be made involving matthyse, garcia, peterson, and broner but NONE of em are fighting each other even though all 4 have scheduled fights within past week or so.
It's beyond egregious. Most boxing fans can only speak wit their wallets. If you don't think a fight is the fight that should be made, don't watch it, don't purchase it on ppv. If fans continue to watch and order fights no matter what garbage is put out, the promoters and managers have no need to actually make the good fights. We should be getting garcia v peterson and Matthuse v broner. I don't get how you could not be pissed about the current situation or argue that we shouldn't complain be we don't know the card. As pointed out below, we already know the fight we should be seeing isn't getting made
because, as other poster have made it abundantly clear, there are other fights that cane be made that are good, quality fights.

If you standard is to complain or not watch whenever you don't get exactly what you want, how the hell do you ever watch any boxing? Not one major fighter, except floyd and canelo and danny and matts, have fought the fights the majority of people have asked for in the last year. I am sure you watched fights other than those.

Its one thing to complain about not getting garcia v peterson and Matthuse v broner right now. I get that. its a completely different thing to crap on a card that hasn't even been made yet.

There is also a significant difference between not getting the fights you want and not getting good fights. If there are no fights you will accept other than those-so be it. My point is simple-once you know what the card is then you know if you are not getting good fights.

If you have this standard for every card-fine. If not, wait to see if the fights are good.
