It's funny all these people talking about how Lewis should have rematched a WIN and then give Wladimir a pass for not rematching LOSSES.

I don't think anybody is denying Lewis mentioned retiring beforehand. Many boxers in there 30's comment on retirement. Of course they do, they know they ain't lasting forever anymore and they contemplate what their exit will be like. How many fighters say they will retire and don't for a decade...

Holyfield was RETIRING for 20 years! LOL

Lewis made the decision to fight on, in prime form, he had Johnson, Byrd, VK, WK on the horizon who he confidently thought he could beat. OOPS, nearly lost, luckily won on a fortunate cut. See how this pans out... ****, he destroyed Johnson, "nobody has ever done that to Kirk Johnson before", I'm in deep here.. Good time to hang up the gloves...

I'm not knocking Lewis.. SMART move! He gets to sign of on a win, no matter how controversial, and always maintain that he was the better fighter than either of the 2 brothers, and it worked. Whether he was right, nobody can say..

That's why I consider them on equal footing.

You don't believe a Vitali rematch and/or a Vladimir fight would have been worthwhile for Lummox?

He retired as an All Time Great fighter with hundreds of millions in the bank.

Vitali promised the world he would KO David Haye but ran into retirement with his tail between his legs and his best win being a LOSS to Lennox Lewis

Yeah it is a fact... Who is in the ATG list is a fact, you're right..

But it is a meaningless fact...

Jack friggin Dempsey is in the ATG list... Would that improve WK's resume if he KO'd Jack Dempsey...

In fact... If WK KO'd MOST ATG's as a title defence, he'd be accused of cherry picking and be ridiculed for such weak opposition...

                    Also a fact!
