Amazing how people doubt a proven atg who even at 49 is taking better fights then Kovalev...ya'll love to hype up anyone who has power, but Hopkins eats power punches up for lunch and has no history of ducking at allComment

the problem i have with krusher is that he tends to sorta jump into his power punches, someone like hopkins will read that and counter punch.Comment

hopkins is not scared but the man its a 49 year old version of hopkins
kovalev is not a great fight for him
im just telling it how it is
hopkins is a legend, he has the right to fight whoever he wants
but hopkins is a smart man, there is being brave and then there is strategising
strategy supersedes foolish bravery in boxing.
i am sure hopkins has read either the 48 laws of power, art of seduction, mastery, 33 strategies of war
Age aint nothing but a number man!! Hopkins has been defying the odds for decades so i believe hopkins can beat kova at 29,39,59,49 any number with a 9 for that matter!!! It would b hard for me to ever bet against hopkins when the opponent (kovalev in this case) has never faced anyone that will test him! Got to go with brains over brawns in this one....i would be ****** not to see the huge experiance mismatch here!! And we are talking about hopkins no one else!Comment

I think if the 2 option were to fight the mandatory or vacate, i believe he would fight the mandatory...hopkins already made it clear his goal is to become undisputed lhw champion of the world, i doubt a mandatory fight would change that! Or make him vacate.Comment

Hopkins looked like **** against Murat.
Kovalev destroys him at this point in his career.Comment

This will be a tuff fight a risky fight on hopkins behalf, but I honestly think he could pull it off.. kovalov will come out strong early but Bernard will frustrate him in the later rounds and out work kovalov it would be koo to see him retire at the age he wants to 50 with three world titles IBF/WBA/WBO....The Executioner!!!!!Comment

It is obvious now that Adonis Stevenson is the biggest fool in boxing. He chose to sign with Haymon and then refused to honor the agreement to fight Kovalev with the intention of going to Showtime and fighting Hopkins for more money. Now, he is in a situation where he will be fighting no one, at least until the legal issues are resolved. In the meantime, Hopkins may take the fight that Stevenson turned down. If Hopkins beats Kovalev (which I believe he will), he may then choose to retire or could choose to fight Chavez Jr. at a catchweight and then retire. That would leave Stevenson out in the cold with no big money fights because HBO is not likely to welcome him back -- not even for a fight against Andre Ward.
Biggest fool in boxing = Adonis Stevenson.Comment
