I don't think it will happen because of HBO/SHO but if it did, I give Hopkins a great chance of pulling off the upset. Agnew was able to catch Kovalev with some shots that I was not expecting. If he was able to, Hopkins should have no trouble landing his.

Hopkins isn't fighting Kovalev. That's just a smokescreen.
He will end up fighting a mandatory who isn't worthy of being in the same ring.Comment

Maidana landed shots on Floyd. Stevens landed on Golovkin. Povetkin landed on Wlad. Donaire landed on Rigo. Orlando Cruz landed on Salido.
Every single boxer in the history of boxing, even defensive boxers, get and have gotten hit. Nobody is ever going to leave a boxing match without getting touched up. Especially offensive fighters such as Kovalev who look to move forward all fight.
Agnew didn't win a single minute of any round in that fight. He shelled up against the ropes as soon as he felt Kovalevs power and threw no more then like 30 punches after the first few rounds.Comment

I am not blaming anyone..but it seems you are already trying to blame someone for something that hasnt even gain momentum yet.. The question i asked is who did she call?? did she call Hopkins himself?? if not then this is a non issue as he handles his own affairsShe says that everyone said "i dont know" including to the question of who represents/negotiates for Hopkins.
Who the hell can make a fight for him then? That's what it says.... she says whenever his promotional situation is figured out, to call her.
It's kovalevs fault, thoughComment

hopkins is not scared but the man its a 49 year old version of hopkins
kovalev is not a great fight for him
im just telling it how it is
hopkins is a legend, he has the right to fight whoever he wants
but hopkins is a smart man, there is being brave and then there is strategising
strategy supersedes foolish bravery in boxing.
i am sure hopkins has read either the 48 laws of power, art of seduction, mastery, 33 strategies of warLast edited by jas; 07-08-2014, 03:21 PM.Comment

Hopkins is 50. I have no expectations for him at this point. If he wants to fight a mandatory its his right to do so.
With that said, the B-Hop that I know will take this fight right now as well. He said he wants to retire undisputed champ so this is a fight that needs to be made for him to achieve that goal. I believe it will happen.Comment

I agree with what you are saying here, especially with offensive guys getting clipped, but my point is that Hopkins is no ordinary fighter and is known for spoiling styles like Kovalev's. As a Kovalev fan and not one of Hopkins I say this. It would be stupd to count this as a Kovalev win without exploring history. I do say, however, that one day Hopkins will get old and be knocked out if he hangs on too long.Maidana landed shots on Floyd. Stevens landed on Golovkin. Povetkin landed on Wlad. Donaire landed on Rigo. Orlando Cruz landed on Salido.
