Having watched back at some of kovalevs previous fights, I don't think Hopkins will fight this guy.

I think it's a negotiating ploy to get more money for the Stevenson fight. And trying to make Stevenson not delay the fight further given his age.

Kovalev would be a dangerous fight for Hopkins right now

Bhop beats Stevenson easy.

Honestly at 49 any fight is dangerous, but Stevenson is quicker and has decent defense, Kovalev seems to gas early due to lack of rounds, check the Cleverly figjt and especially the Agnew fight..

You are splitting hairs. Shumenov and Murat are not great fighters, but Hopkins has fought guys at 175 who were better than anyone Kovalev has fought. Also, which of Kovalev's opponents do you think were better than Shumenov and Murat because I think all of Kovalev's opponents are on the same level as Shumenov and Murat?

Cleverly easily beat and stopped Murat years before Hopkins faced him. Murat is terrible and Shumenov was arguably even worse. Horrendous opponents.

Kathy said she doesn't know who promotes or represents Hopkins at the moment. Honestly I'm not quite sure I do either based on Hopkins recent Golden Boy/Oscar/Schaefer/Haymon comments.

I didn't even know Cleverly beat Murat. So Murat and Shumenov are better than anyone Kovalev has fought, even though both lost to Kovalev opponents.

He actually Has a hell of a resume it you think about it. For having only 25 fights thus far. He beat Campillo by his 20th fight.

The guy who beat Shumenov, Murat and Cloud.



Funnily enough all 3 of those fights are considered good wins for Hopkins by some.




A near 50 year old Hop struggled with Murat.
