Mayweather is such a damn coward. He should be embarrassed.

What gloves was Maidana wearing when he couldn't finish off Broner? What gloves was he wearing when he lost to Alexander? It's not about gloves, it's about accuracy? It's about where his punches were landing, and the effect of all those misses. He was done by the start of the ninth. his punches didn't have the effect they had earlier. This is a training issue, not a glove issue. He's lucky to be getting a rematch, so I don't think he wants to make the gloves an issue. Robert Garcia is correct, choose early, then train hard (without Ariza).

Team Mayweather is attempting to force Maidana to use Grant gloves, the same that Mayweather uses. Everlast are known as "puncher's gloves," preferred by most of the sport's heavy hitters while Grants are a favorite of men like Floyd, who have a history of hand injuries.
now you're just copying and pasting an article hahaha

Where do you come up with this stuff? LOL. Maidana's purse was in the contract and set in stone. Nowhere in the contract were there stipulations on the type of gloves Maidana can or can not wear. Upon reviewing the gloves, the first pair Ellerbe protested and as a result were not approved by the commission. The 2nd pair were approved but Floyd still wasnt satisfied.

Ask Floyd becasue according to him the gloves are the reason why Maidana was putting a hurting on all his past opponents.

Mayweather is the A side, he's going to make all the demands and you better meet them if you want the fight.

I don't have an issue with it, I just don't like the way it was done. All of that should have been dealt with in the contract, not moments before the fight.

I dont really care to be honest. Maidana and Garcia are the dumb ones. Once the commission approved of the gloves they should have stuck to thier guns and told Floyd to go kick rocks. If they accepted Floyd's bribe to wear different gloves then they gave up every right to cry about it.
Lmfao at everyone thinking the gloves will be the difference. There will be no difference. Maybe an extra bruise on Floyd's face? Big deal!

Demands during negotiations yes! He hold all the marbles. He doesnt have the power to pull out of a fight an hour before with a packed stadium though. He would have faced some serious repurcussions and lawsuits. But hey, he bribed Maidana and they took the bait. This is why I say team Maidana gave up every right to cry about it afterwards. Had they stuck to thier guns with an hour till showtime, Floyd would have had to fight in Maidanas commission approved gloves.
