If you don't duck , you are eventually going to lose

I had Hopkins beating Taylor both times

I thought he beat calzaghe 114-113

    I thought he beat pascal

His shoulder hadn't fully recovered for Dawson

    He lost legit vs jones

I still think that Hopkins took this fight because of a bigger business reason (i.e. GBP-HBO reconciliation)...

It's of public knowledge that Hopkins holds very strong pedigree incentives when coming into this fight: He is one of the best defensive fighters in the recent history of the sport; He didn't clearly lost a fight in his career and he was never floored; He already fought a quite sound "Soviet school" exponent in Shumenov; and so on...
On another hand: Kovalev (GGG excluded, of course) is the best exponent of the genuine "Soviet school" to fight in the U.S. so far...
(If Kovalev was just a "brawler" the likes of Stevenson, Pascal, Could, Dawson or even Ward would have fought him by now. But no one did...)
      ... And so on...

Most important factor of this fight is going to be the referee.

If Hopkins is allowed to sell everything Kovalev lands as a low blow or rabbit punch, and he finds himself having to aim exclusively at the head from range because any body shots or clinch shots will get him disqualified, it's going to be a long night.

Not to mention Hopkins will use fouling to frustrate the **** out of Kovalev. He can't get too angry when Hopkins charges like a ram.

          I don't really think so...
... Hopkins is cleaner than Andre Ward...
... While Kovalev is a far-far better fighter as compared to Kessler or Froch...
... And grandpa is old, doe...

So again, your point makes no sense because it is nonsensical. Try again
It doesn't change the those facts, no. I have never disputed any if those greats feats.

What I am saying is, Hopkins is a late starter, he was still considered green at the age of 28-29 and didn't win his first world title until he was 29.

Whereas the likes of Floyd and Pacquaio have been fighting at that level from a much younger age.

So my point is, despite Hopkins being much older, he's not been fighting at the championship level that much longer than Floyd or Pacquaio.

Not taking anything away from Hopkins because what he's done is amazing. Just pointing those facts out.

Do you think Kovalev can floor Hopkins?
