lets look at his resume at light welter and welter

        mitchell - not number 1
        gatti - not number 1

        welter:

        mitchell - not number 1
        judah - not number 1
baldomir - lineal champ but he was not the best in a division that had cotto and mosley, margarito - these guys all would have beaten baldomir
        hatton - not number 1
marquez - not number 1 , jumped up 2 weight classes
mosley - pacquaio was ranked number 1 by Ring
        ortiz - not number 1
        guerrero - not number 1
maidana - not even in the top 5

at 140 and 147 , mayweather has not fought a single number 1 fighter

Well he has because Baldomir and Mosley were the Lineal Champions so they were #1

Why are you nitpicking those weight classes?

              Let's look at the rest;

              130 - Hernandez #1, Corrales #1
              135- Castillo #1 x2
140 - Gatti #1 (Not including Tszyu who was "Champion".
              147 - Baldomir #1, Mosley Lineal
              154 - Cotto #1, Canelo #1

Now do Hopkins and tell me who has more.

                That's so ridiculous.

That's like saying who has more #1 wins? Roy Jones or Erik Morales?

Oh but only include Middleweight and Heavyweight for Roy Jones.

lol you know Mayweather competed at 130 & 135 as well and beat multiple champions and #1s at those weights right?

Gatti was #1 contender, Cotto was champ or considered champ I believe at #154 and then a unification fight with Canelo?

Floyd is obviously the standard all fighters are held to and it seems its going to continue atleast until he retires. Thats greatness for sure.

B hop is the man tho and Im not saying one over the other but losses should be counted no matter how old you are. Look at how Roy Jones tarnished his career. Foolish to say losses shouldn't b held against a fighter(unless blatant robberies).
