Would have liked to have seen him be given the chance. He had Crawford hurt earlier in the round when everyone thought he was out of the fight.

There was little time left in the round and he probably could have continued. It wasn't like the fight wasn't close and Gamboa showed that he had the power to hurt Crawford. However, its likely Gamboa would've been stopped in a round or two. Meh.. Stoppage was a smidge early for my liking.

He could have continued......to take a beating or more vicious TKO or KO

Agreed.. No need to take unnecessary punishment .. Take the L ( as hard as it sounds) bounce back and have a great career with your health intact

I don't have a problem with the stoppage . I believe Gamboa when he says he thinks he could have continued and respect his warrior sprit but for his safety I'm glad it didn't go on . He was taking some punishing blows at the end from a bigger man. No shame in a loss like that . Sometimes you gain more fans and respect in loss rather than in victory , I think this May be one of those cases.

                Be a better sport

A real champ is gracious in losing.

Gamboa has outgrown the feathers, he can't go back without over training. He's too small as a lightweight and exposed, naked. His time is up as a top tier fighter, nobody beats father time. I believe Vazquez would be too strong for him, Walter, Nonito, too strong at feather.

Nothing to see here. Most fighters are delusional. You could decapitate some fighters and they'd still say that they could continue.

Fight was done. Gamboa was getting train wrecked.
