He would have kept going, he's got that winner mentality and would have kept trying.

He proably could have continued as there was only 5 seconds left of the round, but he was in a bad spot so it was fine.

Gamboa is a great fighter, lotta skills, warrior mentality, but IMO he has jumped up one weight class too many. Drop down a class in weight, see what happens. No shame in losing one fight, especially as competitive as this was. He could bounce back just fine.

He was still coherent and got up no problem from the last uppercut. I think he could have too. Seeing as how he hurt Cawford the round before, I think the ref stopped it a little early.

That said, Crawford looked good but I think a tuned up Gamboa would have beaten him. He seemed to gas bad when he manager to hurt Crawford and couldn't follow up.

I'm proud of Yuri, he is a true warrior but he needs to rethink all his carrier. Is not possible to be out for a long time and be back with a weight class a lot bigger than him. He was controlling the fight until the fifth round because he is much better fighter than Terence, but Terence is on his weight and Gamboa no. Gamboa should change promoter, find some defense with a real Cuban trainer and he can bounce back because everybody enjoyed the fight. For me was deserved the stoppage before some real damage can happened to him. Excellent fight and I'll be looking for the next one Lara- Canelo

You've got to respect and admire the guys heart. He'd have continued if the red let him.

Proud man. It's a shame how his career has been on hold the last few years. He's done a lot in the sport he's beaten a lot of good fighters.

he probably could have but he would have been dropped hard again.

he definitely has no quit in him and shows how much of a warrior he is.

he reminded me of bradley in that when both guys get hurt their instinct is to hurt the other guy right back. a true warrior and champion.
