this, i really don't understand that suicide mentality of gamboa after the first KD, he never recovered from that, he went balls to the wall immediately to exchange punches with a bigger guy.

btw crawford was being schooled by a feather weight, and i believe yuri hurt him a few times.

now i wanna see mikey/crawford, that should be awesome too

Well if Crawford was a Featherweight or Gamboa a true Lightweight, it may have been a different story. Crawford is very skilled but Gamboa has always been a special fighter (despite the loss). In my opinion Gamboa is better than Crawford P4P. However Crawford deserves credit for his performance, he did what he had to do when he landed that counter right hook that completely changed the fight.

          Anyone else agree?
i agree with you man but damn he laid it all for for his fans and for most importantly himself he knew he could beat him iun a box off but dude gamboa gets like super mad at everyone when he gets hurt and goes out swinging that's on him

He's like a mini Amir Khan. Loves leaving his chin out to dry in exchanges.

He has no trainer he does what he wants, and that was the wrong guy to do it with finally. Too big and too smart for him.

I get that it's who he is, and some fighters fight like that on instincts.... but that's beyond reckless

the only difference was he was (as i already said)

                  1) fighting the biggest guy he's ever faced
                  2) fighting the best guy he's ever faced

crawford did what he should've done, beat the smaller, inactive fighter who is untested at 135, a guy who likes to exchange with his opponent

seriously stop overrating this win, it's a good win. if this fight was at 130 or if Gamboa was active and accustomed to 135, I would rate it much more highly
We agree. Who woulda thunk it???

Gamboa always fights reckless. It's an error that could have been corrected with a proper trainer. Ismael Salas seemed to not only be a good trainer but a sound adviser and had decent chemistry with Gamboa. He should have never left Salas imo. Oh well.
