I think it's funny.......had Crawford wilted and lost the fight....everyone would be saying OVERRATED once again. Another overrated American.

But Crawford adjusts....it's not like Gamboa just quit in there and decided to get his ass beat.....Crawford was adjusting well late in the 4th, and timed that counter perfectly in the 5th. Took COMPLETE CONTROL from then on.

Gamboa would beat a lot of 135 fighters.

He fought ******, I think Crawford will get too much credit for "adjusting", it was more to do with Gamboa's ****** warrior mentality. But without Gamboa going ****** it's not really a Gamboa fight.

He was doing good until Crawford adjusted and switched stances. He started to hit him with damn near everything he threw after he got into his grove. Gamboa is who he is though. He has always been this way and nothing is going to change that. If he gets hurt he wants to fight it out.

Gamboa has always fought this way, not all the time but sometimes. He gets reckless and if you drop him he gets pissed off. He could get away with it at 126, but at 135 against a guy who can punch... that's a different story. He should have stayed at 130 but being small is not the only reason why he lost that fight. I thought he fought a poor fight after Crawford hurt him.

yeah, had crawford lost this fight, he WOULD be overrated

this is a fight he SHOULD HAVE WON and he did

this isn't a spectacular ****ing win dude, give me a ****ing break, he was the betting favorite going in, against a smaller inactive dude

if he lost, yeah i'd say he was overrated because there's no reason he should've lost this fight

              Nahhhhh

Crawford adjusted well late in the 4th even, started timing him well. Then changed the fight with that counter in the 5th.

It's not like Crawford landed a miracle in the 5th, that was it. He started adjusting well even late in the 4th, and the switch the southpaw was smart.

If Gamboa had looked like crap, I would agree. Gamboa looked like a ****ing beast till he got caught.

Crawford's skills are a bit inflated he was getting outboxed by a featherweight then Gamboa went Gamboa wild chin up for the taking which made for a thrilling fight.

His whole style makes him vulnerable to nasty counter shots, but yeah in addition to that he trades punches when he's hurt, the Amir Kan school of boxing. Probably got that from the computer scoring system in the amateurs, when they get hit they feel the need to get that point back immediately no matter what.

gamboa looked like gamboa in this fight, he always fought this way, he always got dropped, except the difference was he was fighting guys of a lower skill level than he was with similer or less power

the only difference was he was (as i already said)

                      1) fighting the biggest guy he's ever faced
                      2) fighting the best guy he's ever faced

crawford did what he should've done, beat the smaller, inactive fighter who is untested at 135, a guy who likes to exchange with his opponent

seriously stop overrating this win, it's a good win. if this fight was at 130 or if Gamboa was active and accustomed to 135, I would rate it much more highly
