I don't know what's so surprising about this. It's simple arithmetic. Showtime only does one fight event every month. HBO don't do business with Haymon. How is he supposed to accommodate all these fighters with one network? These fighters need fights. Otherwise, their families will starve.

The problem that he as so many fighters, and only has one network to go to for $ that's the problem. He has almost 60 athletes signed to him, Showtime has a limited budget, and if ratings don't pick up, it could drop.
Buying air time is expensive, and will be extremely hard to recoup the $, if it doesn't workout, than what? Is haymon, or his investors, or promoters really going to keep handing him $ on events that lose $?
I can respect if you feel like they'll lose too much money which will cause potential/current investors to shy away from. Which is possible but unlikely.
It just seems like people want him to fail which I don't understand because if he fails a lot of talent falls along with him.
