Haymon getting desperate for dates

Well, he wouldn't be desperate for air time, if he wasn't having problems landing fights and $ for his fighters. This is a dirty game. There's a multitude of young fighters that are sitting out or taking terrible fights out the gate because they can't get good fights. Haymon isn't just signing established talent he's signing a ton of prospects as well. Guys that might not be huge ticket sellers but are good fighters nonetheless.
I can respect if you feel like they'll lose too much money which will cause potential/current investors to shy away from. Which is possible but unlikely.
It just seems like people want him to fail which I don't understand because if he fails a lot of talent falls along with him.
Remember, a lot of his fighters aren't signed to ANY promoter, he just pays GBP a flat fee for them to promote fights for him.
That means there's no promoter representing them, building them, or even a promoter who gives a crap about them, amd especially paying them. If these guys left haymon top rank/Cameron Duncan would welcome them with open arms, and hand them a big signing bonus and that HBO fight date.
That's going to be hard to turn down for these guys once things aren't looking good.Comment

That's wishful thinking that all these fighters would prosper under Top Rank.Well, he wouldn't be desperate for air time, if he wasn't having problems landing fights and $ for his fighters.

Do you ever have anything worthwhile to say? I honestly have seen very little from you that was helpful in any wayComment

LOL at you downplaying your hero Arum's enormous mistake--the biggest of his career.Ok whatever. Arum's words tell the whole story, thanks for digging it up. Floyd asked for 20m, Arum said no chance, Floyd took 10m. Fight ended up being much bigger than projected. Arum screwed up, happens to the best of them. He learned his lesson by putting his next star, underdog midget Pac in with DLH
In 1 move, he missed out on the biggest PPV in the history of sports! And lost the biggest PPV fighter in the history of sports. I think Arum lies awake at night and thinks about this. Luckily he has you to defend him.Comment

How does an educated lawyer FAIL to comprehend the difference between "disproving" and "disapproving"???Quote:

I don't mind if u disapprove of my point. If it's wrong then prove it wrong. Calling a post garbage because don't approve of it means nothing to me.
Answer: That misguided rant about "disapproval" disproves your claim to be some educated lawyer, exposing you as a liar, and further validates all those people's comments proving your points to be false and worthy to be clowned on.Comment

I don't see why HBO or other networks would not work with Haymon IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT. As long as everyone makes $$
Nobody is gonna continue a money-losing proposition. It's pretty simple.
As I said, if the price is right...EVERYTHING is on the table.
If Haymon can't negotiate a decent rate with the network/promtion, then there would be no fights.
BTW, the network will work other promotions and managers to make fights. Some of you guys think way too complicated.
When Schaffer gets his promotion license, Haymond and Schaffer can work together IF price is right....
Just my two cents here.Last edited by sdcluser; 06-30-2014, 03:10 AM.Comment
