On "The NExt Round" podcast, Kim and Montoya often refer Haymon's moves to the "Walmartization" of boxing. Want to make it the consumer's one stop for all things boxing. We'll see how it pans out and how deeps HAymon's pockets are

This Haymon situation remember me ponzi scheme. A lot fighters joining in the hope for big money, sooner or later it will fall.

Showtime gets $7.99 per provider each month from each subscriber. Since the Mayweather contract signed in Deb 2013. Subscriptions jumped up 1.5 Million. 800K of those are boxing fans that now subscribe that didnt before. Its been 15 months. 800,000 x $7.99 = Profit of $6.4 Million a Month x 15 Months = 95.8 Million profit that they did not have before. Mayweather vs maidana PPV's are simply a lose leader. A Event thats a loss that leads to or must be down to maintain other profits. A little business 101.
Do you have a source for these numbers? Also, I already had Showtime but why would I sign up for it to see Floyd fight since it is on PPV? You don't have be a Showtime subscriber to watch PPV.

          C: Promoters Sell sponsors/advertising

Its that simple. Furthermore I work in the industry. Haymon is not desperate for dates. Something big is about to happen. Think NFL Network, MLB network, NHL network. Middle man is about to get cut out.
Think of WWE network. Look how well they are doing.

That's true. The key thing though is that it is branded as an exclusive Showtime event.

This. I'm telling you right now I have HBO for boxing, but also because it has great shows. The same goes for Showtime, it's because they offered varied programming. Also, a lot of the people who have HBO don't watch boxing, you can tell by the numbers, but I'm sure a big majority of them are CASUAL boxing fans. They are not going to make their cable bill higher to watch Haymon guys fight, they have HBO already and they already have insanely high top notch production values. I have no clue how Haymon would compete with this, especially with the budget. Then he'll probably have PPV on top of that for the bigger fights and even WWE doesn't have the balls to say pay for our subscription AND PPV events, it will fail miserably.

Showtime don't need Mayweather to draw subscribers. He's not even on Showtime. He's on PPV.

All Showtime should do, if they want to attract subscribers, is produce non-PPV fights on a frequent basis, like weekly. It's not even about quality, which is a loose term when it comes to boxing matches. What's perceived to be garbage fight many times turn out to be FOTYs, ie, Provo vs Bradley.

Right now, Showtime non-PPVs are rare. Many subscribers have canceled their subscriptions. If you're a boxing fanatic, you're better off signing up with Boxnation.com and watch boxing online.

Typical DempseyTrollin. Gets owned in every thread then resorts to that kind of stuff. He went from lawyer in the other thread to god knows what in this thread.

He switches profession by the thread.
