Haymon getting desperate for dates

Shotime are pretty reliant on Haymon fighters at this point (not so HBO), without his fighters they would just have Canelo and virtually no one else.
It could be argued Haymon is reliant on Shotime too, but he could go back to HBO at any time leaving Sho high and dry.Comment

ShowTime doesn't have the budget to showcase all of his fighters at the prices he demands. And with their poor ratings their boxing budget won't be expanding anytime soon.
I anticipate stacked $100 PPVs with stacked undercards in the near future.Comment

He can't go back because they won't buy any of his cards like the august 9th one coming up. He is holding Showtime hostage by dangling future fights to them in order to put garbage fights on the air.Comment

You have no clue how lucrative advertising money is. Fox doesn't pay the UFC 100 million a year with a small budget.
Oh and did I mention golden boy also has a deal with FS1 also.Comment

That budget is dog ****, along with espn's. A lot of those events lose $.
And that fox 100 million dollar contract is nonsense, that would break down to spending millions per event, there def not giving UFC millions per event, and there ratings have been abysmal.
Haymon trying to go on his own buying network time would be costly, I'd imagine it would mainly for record building fights, I don't think he'd be wiling to spend his own $ on his more expensive fighters.Last edited by AddiX; 06-28-2014, 09:47 PM.Comment
