Pac is still a bigger star and draw today than Floyd was at the time he faced and had to bow to Oscars demands. If you look at thier total ppv #'s, Floyd only leads Pac by about 500k buys which can all change with 1 fight. You cant compare Pac's status to that of Martinez who was never really a draw or Floyd who wasnt much of a draw himself prior to facing Oscar.

Although they're both counterpunchers, Floyd and JMM have very different fighting styles. JMM has had success with Pac because JMM isnt afraid to step in the line of fire in order to land something. Floyd on the other hand fights extremely cautious. Just look at thier 4 fights. You can make an argument for who won the first 3 and we all know who won the 4th, but one thing that cant be disputed is that even in thier 4 fights JMM took more damage than Pac did. Knocked down 5 times in 4 fights. Suffered a broken nose twice, etc. Floyd would never commit to his offense vs Pac the way JMM did.Comment

all those obstacles since the the first negotiations are nothing but pr the only obstacle manny ever had was figuring out how to pass the drug test and he knew he couldnt everyone ignores the fact that mayweather is still the only one who has his signature on the 50 50 contract one in which all demands he had to follow himself until you guys admit this its nothing but you looking for excuses for thatComment

That's not my take. I believe it comes down to the simplest things. Both Mayweather and Pac have played the Prima Donna roles in talks and negotiations over the years and between their egos and the egos of their management/promoters, a fallout was the result. You can easily tell which fans aren't biased because they don't railroad the blame to just one side. Anyone who thinks only one guy is to blame, is flat out biased.Comment

Everyone knows Floyd is scared of losing to Pac. Former pros, trainers, real boxing fans etc. Everyone.
Even at this stage where I think Floyd would be the slight* favourite, he won't take the risk. 5 years ago Pac would've beaten Floyd for sure, now I think it's 55/45 in favour of Floyd, but he wants to wait longer, the longer they wait, the more the tide turns in Floyd's favour. He's waiting until Pac is on a crutches.Last edited by John Locke; 06-27-2014, 10:14 AM.Comment

Again both ways.. Mayweather offered Manny 40mil, Manny confirmed this, whether you believe it or not Pacquiao could have called Mayweathers bluff but he didnt... after Marquez knocked him out he decided he would fight for free, it goes both ways.. but you wont ever hear about Pacquiao turning it down, you just hear Mayweather bashing.Comment
