Since its inception in July of 2001, ShoBox has provided thrills, upsets, and sensational knockouts.

During this time period, a number of world title holders at least made an appearance on the popular series, including Ricky Hatton, Timothy Bradley, Robert Guerrero, and Chad Dawson.

Soro should outclass him if his Stamina holds out

This is what I've been saying for years. You get guys from 10-0, 10-1 to 23-0, 23-1 and everything in the middle fighting each other and often a star rises out of the pack and even guys that lose, come back for more TV appearances. PROSPECTS vs PROSPECTS!! UNLIKE some of the fox sports, ESPN, and Telefutura cards where you get a guy 15-0 going against a guy who is 12-7! ShowBox does NOT allow overprotection! For some reason you never see Jose Benavides or Jesse Magdaleno or a number of other prospects on ShoBox because ShowBox requires that they fight something with a pulse. God forbid putting those overprotected prospects in with a guy with a pulse. Hello no, its 12-7 guys or guys who are washed up 36 year olds. And you know what is funny is when someone says "well Jose and Jesse are young". So then they have no problem fighting older fighters as long as they have a bad record??? There are many young fighters on ShoBox who are willing to put it all on the line for a chance to make a name.

Ummm I'm pretty sure you don't see Benavidez or Magdaleno on ShoBox cause they're with Top Rank, genius.

Forgot to mention Jesse Magdaleno is fighting a guy with 14 losses!!! ShoBox would NEVER allow a guy with 14 losses on their show!!!

No sht Sherlock! I'm using them as examples! You don't see them on ANY network fighting other unbeaten prospects! And they were never featured on ShoBox EVEN back before the TR/Showtime situation.

Shobox usually gets it right, it keeps me going.

Douglas is an extremely fast starter and tries to live up to his nickname "Action." He does it very well early on in fights and is still learning how to pace himself, did it better in his last win i thought. i've never seen Soro, but that is why i love shobox. he'll prob be pretty good. i am interested in following douglas. anyway so I'll be checking it out

I've only see one fight, and that was his title fight against Baysangurov. Don't remember much, but he boxed very well and even knocked the champ down in round 2... but then he faded very badly

Doesn't sound to me like you were using them as examples.

                  "For some reason"

Well, that reason is cause they're with Top Rank.

I was using them as examples for overprotected fighters but also as DIRECT examples. They didn't fight on ShoBox because they are overprotected, not because they were with Top Rank. The Top Rank / Showtime fued post dates their first 2 years as pros when other Top Rank fighters were still fighting on Showtime.
