Actually TRs last shobox card had Diego Magdaleno in main event in Tucson

Diego was not protected like his brother Jesse. That's why I've never said anything about his comp like the other two guys......and since the Diego fight was in 2012, it proves my point that Jesse, like Jose, are overprotected fighters. I'm seeing a pattern with other fighters recently as well. Among the ones were not overprotected were Chris Martin, Chris Avalos, Javier Fortuna, and many others. Even Karim Mayfield fought and beat a guy who arguably beat Garcia and did beat Prov. That's the way it should be.

Jesse Magdaleno has 2 fights more than Karim Mayfield and has no one on his resume. Karim has Forbes, Serrano, Mauricio Herrera, Dulorme, and soon Emmanual Taylor. That's FIVE fighters that Jesse does not have one of.

Now lets look at Jose Benavidez. He has 20 fights. Not one notable fighter on his resume. Now look at Chris Avalos record with almost the same number of fights. He has beaten a fighter who went on to win a title and another fighter who had just beaten a former world champ. And another ranked contender.

Now look at Javier Fortuna. Less than 25 fights and he has fought Miguel Roman, unbeaten Yaundale Evans, former world champ Cristobal Cruz, Luis Franco, Patrick Hyland. Very easy to see the guys like Fortuna who are not overprotected at all and the fighters who are.

You're going on this rant by yourself so I'll give you some attention.

Jesse Magdaleno and Jose Benavidez: 22 years old
Karim Mayfield: 30+ fkin years old

Do you want Jesse and Jose to be rushed like Dulorme vs Abregu and get KTFO?

First off, Javier Fortuna is 23 and was 21 when he first stepped up. That blows your age argument out the window. Second, just because Dulorme crashed and burned, Chris Avalos didn't and he is under 25 years old and was 21 when he stepped up and in fact, just fought an eliminator. Many other young fighters stepped up. There are many 21-25 year olds who were not overprotected. Karim still had less fights than Jesse and Jose and stepped up and age has nothing to do with it, it is about some fighters teams realizing they cant feed their fighters soft touches and expect that fighter to grow. YOU should know this! Again, Fortuna and other 21-25 year olds were not fed gravy train setups. Jose and Jesse have been, that is ALL TOO CLEAR! Jesse is fighting a guy with 14 losses in his next fight! ShoBox has had TONS and TONS of fighters who were as prospects pitted against other prospects, unlike a good number of overprotected fighters. I should NOT have to tell you this!

Seems like a regular shobox with just a few extra fights.. I thought they would do something bigger for the 100th episode like have breazele headline vs decent journeymen or unbeaten but untested fighter and maybe rashee warren on the undercard vs another unbeaten prospect.. I would have been much more interested

Who do YOU consider the step up for Fortuna and Avalos?

Fortuna fought Lorenzo twice and what was the reason behind this?

Not sure what you're complaing about anyway. Its a fact that TR is much better at building stars than GB/Haymon. So, chances are that whatever TR is doing with Jesse and Jose is bound to work.

Who cares if Fortuna fought Lorenzo twice. Go back and look at the list of 5 fighters I named that Fortuna fought, all 5 of which were better than anything Benavidez or Magdaleno fought. And Avalos just beat a guy who beat a former champ and also fought another prospect at the time he was 22 in Chris Martin. Avalos and Fortuna and even Chris Martin have been fighting prospects and in some cases former champs; Jesse and Jose are NOT. I could care less about the TR/GBP/Haymon comparison - the fact is everyone knows that soft touches do nothing to help a fighter grow and not worthy of being on TV. I cannot spell it out any easier than that.
