In my opinion this fight would not be a whole lot different than the first fight.
Not a total shut out, but a UD for Floyd.
Cotto has not exactly re-invented himself, he has just reverted back to his strengths as a boxer which got him to the top in the first place.
Both Floyd and Cotto would carry the weight well so it would be basically a re-match at MW instead of WW.
I think that in the first fight Cotto showed Floyd too much respect and didn't take the risks needed to keep Floyd on the ropes, even with Roach as trainer I can't see Cotto making any real changes to his game plan that Floyd can't work out by the middle of the fight.
I am a Cotto fan and would pay for this fight, but in all honesty I'd look forward to Cotto VS Canelo more.

I'm not sure if there is an underlined current of hate for Miguel or what but I don't see a problem with him getting a shot at either Floyd, Canelo, or GGG. Here's how I see it.... Under Roach's guidance it appears that Cotto isn't reinvented just that he is back to what made him such an offensive force when he first jumped in to the championship rankings. I also believe that he has gotten a lot of his confidence back and that alone can some times make the difference between what appears to be a faded champ and a rejuvenated one.
If Floyd and Cotto step in the ring a second time for Cotto's MW title then I have no problem with a rematch. The fight remains relevant as long as Cotto holds the Lineal title. Facts are Facts, if Mayweather wants to further cement his legacy and if Cotto is such an easy win then Floyd should jump at the chance just like Cotto did against Martinez.
A gold miner digs for gold, a boxer fights for championship belts its an easy decision for him and a easy boost to his legacy so I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd jumped at the chance.
This was the version of Cotto we were all dying to see Floyd fight over 5 years ago. It made for an interesting go round the first time. I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd vs. Cotto 2. It wasn't a massacre in the first fight, and Cotto actually did ok. With the few changes I would like to see if Cotto could make it more competitive.
Its not the worst fight that could be made for these two pugilistic Champions, Floyd's had some wars against some not so great opposition so I'm sorry if it makes a Cotto vs. May 2 appear to be lucrative for both fighters.
