So does Cotto have to defend against GGG?

Baldimar and Cotto are no Lineal if we are going back to the days of one Champ Baldimar and Cotto would have never won a title

Floyd would beat GGG and guys would be crying that Floyd ran (i.e. Boxed his ears off) And to be lineal at Welter, Jr Middleweight, and Middleweight AT THE SAME DAMN TIME. And you said the best comp, whos better comp for Cotto than the #1 P4P Undefeated Champion. Its a better notch on your belt to beat Floyd than to beat GGG. If he beats GGG all that would be said is GGG fought tomato cans b4 he faced an experienced Cotto so Cotto historically has more to gain by beating floyd, and Floyd was his highest pay day in his career. Now if they fought at Barclays which Floyd said he wanted to fight, For the Middleweight Championship he would easily make enough to last him and his family for the rest of his life

His game appeared to be a lot tighter in the Martinez fight, than it has in recent years.

              My 2 cents...

Same was said when he was with Pedro Diaz until he fought a live body that fought back

I'm one if the guys on the side that Cotto overwhelmed Martinez with superior skills and to me Cotto looked as sharp as he ever had that fight.

Of course you would say Martinez was shot, so I don't think anything I can say will help us see eye to eye on this matter.

I'm not even counting the Rodriguez fight, because imo Cotto won impressively but he didn't look as sharp as he did in the Martinez fight. And he was supposed to beat Rodriguez in that fashion.

so being 39 with 2 bad knees and inactive for over a year is not shot now?? and then after you actually watched the fight and saw he had 0 movement? i mean Cotto did what he had to do, Martinez signed the contract but damn man come on..Lets see him in against a top fight who does not have a bad knee... then we can judge him with Roach...but Cotto bought his lottery ticket, won and cashed it in like a G

Some people are kind of dumb and think Cotto is a "reinvented fighter". Floyd would probably have an easier time with him than in the first fight if anything. Cotto isn't a MW, never has been.

It's easy for a stagnating and overrated to begin with fighter to look amazing against TBA and a guy who can't walk.
