Calzaghe is a clean sportsman who doesn't used steroids, and was always a private, family man who kept himself to himself - he's even still training in his dad's shed!

I don't for one second think that Calzaghe can last one round with Lacy, what with Calzaghe being about a shadow of his former self in his last three fights and so weight-drained, but every true boxing fan will be hoping for Calzaghe to pull off the huge upset against the 168lb version of a prime Mike Tyson.
no proof lacy is on roids, just bc hes ripped. everytime you believe a british fighter is going to lose to an american fighter its because hes past his prime or he has a differnt trainer, or he should move up in weight or hes taking steroids. its excuse after excuse with you, and you cant get it into your thick skull that maybe lacy is just better (and maybe hes not, we will see)
and again, theres more excuses, joe is a shadow of his former self etc etc, its all bull****. the fight is taking place here and now, and theres no way to tell that the joe of 2000 would demolish the lacy of today or any of that ****.
im a true boxing fan, and am rooting for lacy, becuase i beleive he will bring excitement and great fights as well as a great fanbase into boxing, as opposed to joe whos career is soon to be over.

oh, and joe c never seriously pursued rjj or bhop in any way.

    (and he loses to both)

Enough with that POV bull****. No sane person will say that Calzaghe has looked anything like his old self in his last three fights, get your eyes tested dude.

im sure Hopkins was pretty damn close.

Joe will not be a shadow of his former self, perhaps four genuinely toughish fights out of forty. If he loses its because Lacy is the better man, but I don't think it will happen though(hopefully). Joe broke his hand in his last fight and looked disinterested in the two previous.

For the record before I begin I hate juyjuy.

Now, how do you know Joe never seriously persued fights with Roy or Bernard? Im not saying I know either but you wont find me posting like it was a FACT, how do you know?

My recollection tells me that Showtime had a 3 fight deal with Bernard Hopkins (first fight vs, Harry Simon and the final bout against Joe) that he nixed in the final hour...I could be wrong and I certainly dont no the specifics here...plus you wont catch me posting as if it were FACT.

                Do you know?

what i should have said is...theres no evidence that i have seen that proves that joe c activly pursued fights with bhop. when juy juy said that rjj has ben ducking joe for 10 years, i know that i can dismiss that with ease, seeing as i know alot about rjj's career. bhop im not as sure

According to Frank Warren, right after the Charles Brewer fight Hopkins agreed to fight Calzaghe in Cardiff for $3mill in 2002 but at the very last minute he backed out and demanded $6mill or no fight. According to Frank Warren, right after the Byron Mitchell fight Hopkins agreed to fight Calzaghe in Cardiff for $4mill but then 15 mins later he changed his mind!

Warren claims he has all the documents to prove this.

Well, at least one British guy has some proof of his claims.
