Oscar, your chief negotiator and strategist with Floyd was Richard and despite your OBVIOUS jealousy and antagonistic ways Floyd still did business with GB. Other than $$ what reason does Floyd have to continue working with you? You dont have any leverage and if Floyd can make equal or greater $$ elsewhere then you will likely never promote him again. You are in he same position as Bob - Flooyd does not want either of you to make a dime off his back.

It comes down to whether Oscar and Bob actually have a plan and made a calculated risk in choosing each other over Schaeffer, or if Bob just asked Oscar to sign something in exchange for ******* and *****s and Oscar has no idea what he's doing.
u say it like monopoly would be good

        Good stuff from Oscar.

He seems to really have come full circle and wants to give the fans the best fights possible like MMA/UFC has been doing for ten years now. That's the same way he was when he was a fighter so I think it's genuine.

        Good job Oscar.

Forget Mayweather. He's irrelevant. He's just a distraction. The sport is better off without him.

He hired Schaefer to run GBP for a reason, the reason is he is not a businessman. HBP is in trouble.
Am afraid thats what i think too but am willing to wait and see how this works out, One thing is sure needs help dealing with people like Arum.

The sport is better off without TBD. Fans need to focus on new stars like Thurman, Postol, Algieri, etc. We need more of Bradley. I don't mind Broner vs Matthysse. Thurman vs Peterson/Alexander/Porter... These are more interesting than another fight involving an overpaid, overrated PPV fraud. The sooner TBD retires, the better. Boxing is better off without him, mark my word.

Have a whole network to yourself, where you don't have to compete for dates, which means you can get higher revenue for you and your fighters OR be a medium fish in a larger pond, competing with what used to be the 2nd largest promoter in boxing (now the 1st because of Oscar's idiocy) TR, for dates. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have Showtime to myself.

It's not like Oscar would be banned from Showtime just because he started to have fights on HBO again.
