No, but we saw Broner vs. Maidana, where Broner lost! And Maidana is a better and more established fighter than Matthysse.

Karass was supposed to be a comeback win for Berto. Poor Berto. He was in tears at the end of the 12th round. He was complaining why the ref stopped the fight. Turned out that the 2 judges were set to give the fight to him even though Karass clearly won even without the stoppage.

          Lucas was @ 140. Broner was @ 147.

They would pretty much have to accept Oscar's "take it or leave it" purse offers, sign with GBP, or not fight on premium television.

If Espinoza sides with Haymon, Oscar is screwed, but Haymon would have a few problems as well. Any connection or paper trail between himself and any new promotional entity that promotes his fighters would be a conflict of interest, and a breach of his fiduciary duty to the fighters he manages. If that new company was not at "arms length", he could find himself in federal court.

            These are definitely interesting times........
This ^. Also with the Duva / Main Events lawsuit pending which seems particularly aimed at removing some of the opacity from the Haymon / Schaefer / Espinoza partnership times are looking interesting indeed.

Obviously it's impossible to tell this early, but my sense is that whatever was being cooked up (my feeling is a ufc type entity astride North American boxing) has been interrupted before the plans fully came to fruition. However Haymon has nonetheless established a formidible stable of fighters - certainly in the 140 - 154 range - how this plays out could determine the course of the pro sport in the US for years to come.

For those who are saying that Oscar should say "**** the Haymon fighters," you all must be high on something. Look at this weekend's card. Guererro is with Haymon, Alexander is with Haymon, and Gary Russell Jr. is with Haymon. Oscar would not have a card this weekend without Haymon fighters.

I never Trusted that Richard Schaefer, he took advantage that De la Hoya was in Rehab and he and Haymon Stole GBP fighters LOL!!!, Haymon Offered Cesar Chavez jr 40 Millions Dollar that's why GGG vs Chavez Jr never happened because Chavez jr heard that insane offer and start to demand more money to top rank... Really do you Think Chavez Jr could make 40 million dollars in the Super middleweight division? There's no money there
