Mayweather promotions was just a banner in Floyd's fights. GBP was the promotion, and was getting a rumored 5% cut of Floyd's earnings for each fight

I don't think GBP got a % of Floyd's earnings, that espn article last year that broke everything down said Floyd paid GBP a flat fee if I'm not mistaken. Like 10 mil to promote a fight.

I would like to see Money Mayweather go full blast and compete with GBP and TR. With the millions of dollars he has in his bank account it would be very easy for him to hire Schaefer, invest some of his millions, gather all the Haymon fighters and start promoting them. The more promoters, the merrier for fans.

TMT can start with Broner vs Matthysse. Then Thurman vs Floyd, etc. Who needs Arum if you have all these fighters in your stable?

Who really cares about the cold war ending for Haymon when he still got the Soto Karasses, Molinas, Judahs, Herreras, Malignaggis to feed for his star fighters? I'm a Canelo fan, but if he loses in 3 weeks, ouch. GBP will be as relevant as Gary Shawn, Lou DiBella, Joe DeGuardia, and Artie Pellulo.

Yeah but if Canelo wins then you're looking at the rise of boxing's next superstar. And then Oscar can set up Cotto-Canelo and that's the biggest fight this year. Not bad, not bad at all. A lot does hinge on Canelo.

The other Haymon fighters are screwed. Where are they going to go now? Money Mayweather's TMT is not even licensed. He's one of the top Forbes' wealthiest people but can't even commit to a full pledged promotional company. Then Haymon is banned by HBO. Frankly, these people's future is grim. What will happen if Haymon can't provide fights for them? What will happen to their families?

If they're screwed Boxing dies, because they have all the stars not to mention belts at WW except Manny's. Haymon is the future of boxing, not to mention I'm pretty sure Tyson, Dibella, Shaw and a list of others are willing to promote these fighters. GB or TR is not a necessity and showtime will give them dates

one guy pretty much will decide how this all plays out, and that guy is Steven Espinoza. If he backs Oscar and continues to give Oscar the majority of Showtime's dates, the "unsigned" Haymon guys have a problem because they do not have the benefit of "minimum purses" in a promotional contract. They would pretty much have to accept Oscar's "take it or leave it" purse offers, sign with GBP, or not fight on premium television.

If Espinoza sides with Haymon, Oscar is screwed, but Haymon would have a few problems as well. Any connection or paper trail between himself and any new promotional entity that promotes his fighters would be a conflict of interest, and a breach of his fiduciary duty to the fighters he manages. If that new company was not at "arms length", he could find himself in federal court.

Haymon will destroy boxing. All he does is protect his fighters and feed them with the likes of Soto Karass, Judah, Malignaggi, Molinas, Diazes... Do you see Broner vs Matthysse getting made. No. Thurman vs Khan, no... Haymon is a cancer in the sport.
