He probably received an offer commensurate with his ability/status in the game, which isn't all that high. This is the guy who talked himself into a Mayweather fight by prattling on to anyone who would listen about how he had the antidote, had studied Floyd obsessively, knew his weaknesses, had Plan A through to Z to beat him, then when he got his shot - which he scarcely deserved, having beaten a godawful Berto - froze on the big stage and got a boxing lesson. Dude pretty much hit air all night and never really tried to win. Now he's fighting some unknown Asian fighter a year after tanking at the elite level.

Thurman is too big, strong - just too good for a rough-and-rugged fighter of Guerrero's calibre. If Robert's chin holds up, he'd get a frightful beating in that fight.

Wow the majority thinks Thurman DESTROYS Guerrero? I ain't know Guerrero fan but you'd be surprised how competitive this fight would really be.

I'd pick Thurman to win, but I think Guerrero would make it a good fight. He's a tough fighter with a good chin. And I'm sure he'd make it a brawl.

Robert Guerrero is about one of the most annoying fighters outside the ring and one of the most boring and uninteresting inside the ring. I'll be watching this Saturday's fight card not because Guerrero is the headliner but because Vasyl Lomachenoko vs Russel Jr and Jesus Soto Karass vs Devon Alexander will be on the card otherwise I wouldn't even be looking forward to it.

You know, he actually probably is since he's considered the headline act of the event above the other 2 big fights. And that offer to Guerrero was months & months ago, so I'm sure GBP worked out a better deal for Guerrero with this fight.

Might be a good fight, but Thurman gets the W, probably not by stoppage coz Guerrero is a durable mofo.
