If this was the case, why didnt they say this from the start instead of giving it the silent treatment that even schaeffer implied guerrero ducked the fight... and thurman wins by atleast ud imo

Dude pretty much hit air all night and never really tried to win. Now he's fighting some unknown Asian fighter a year after tanking at the elite level.

Thurman is too big, strong - just too good for a rough-and-rugged fighter of Guerrero's calibre. If Robert's chin holds up, he'd get a frightful beating in that fight.
I think he did try to win, he was definitely throwing and trying to the best of his ability. 117-111 across the board aren't terrible scorecards against Floyd. I mean winning 3 rounds is not something to celebrate, technically speaking he did no worse than Miguel Cotto on the cards. Cotto just landed more meaningful punches, doing slightly more damage. But Guerrero tried his best, Mayweather was just out to prove the critics that his legs haven't gone anywhere so he was on the move outboxing Guerrero.

I'd rather see Guerrero vs. Broner when thinking about it. The trash talking for the buildup to that fight would be insane. I think Guerrero would win as well.

Robert Guerrero doesn't seem to understand that his purpose in the Haymon stable is to eventually be fed to the young lions like Thurman and Porter just like Malignaggi was.

At Guerrero acting like he's some kind of draw outside of So Cal.

Agreed. Guerrero just couldn't make adjustments. I thought he was up 2-0 and won the 12th. 117-111 for Floyd. He was definitely trying to win though. People were fooled into thinking he's a pressure fighter but if you watched him at the lower weights he's more of a boxer. And he's just not skilled, smart, athletic or experienced enough to beat Floyd at that game.

Marcos hasn't done anything more than Thurman @ WW, and neither has Khan. Believe it or not, that was Provodnikov's first fight at 147. Algeri did better against Ruslan than Bradley. Thurman is legit. He might not beat Mayweather, but he deserves a shot, and he definitely deserved a shot against Guerrero.
Most of Thurman's career in recent yrs have been at 47. Im not here to discuss what Khan and Bradley did at 47. Im speaking in general they are proven fighters who have skills. Thurman is a flat out bum.

He does NOT deserve Floyd. He need to beat two or three names first which he probably cant.

He has ZERO talent. What is his talent? This imaginary power? His sloppy running style in which he gets hit all night? Then lands a good shot in the later rounds and gets a stoppage.

This dude is a bum to me and Im not here hating on this fighter and that fighter like you all do. But open your eyes and stop overrating this dude. He SUX.

If you're an interim champion, then imo you have put yourself in a position to take on the top dog.
