He didn't do anything wrong. He fought a great fight and lost to a great fighter who was stronger and faster than he was. No 154 pound fighter alive was going to beat Trinidad on that night.

Nndo Nando Nando....Brought along so carefully, taught all the skills. Nando looked good coming up. But alas Nando had a tendency to fancy himself a puncher.

Trinidad was the benchmark for a puncher and Nando never really had a chance fighting one dimensionally and the thing is he had the understanding not to fight one dimensionally. he just could not resist though and the rest is history.

He got hit with that 1st big left hook Tito threw , Vargas said it was the hardest he had ever been hit in his whole career, Tito's hand wraps were questionable and were finally caught on to when he fought Hopkins.

He didn't retaliate and hit Tito in the nuts a million times.

He didn't take his vitamins like he did for the DLH fight.

Nothing, he just could never beat Tito even on his worst day.

Vargas stylistically was tailormade for Tito.

Tito would wreck him 10 out of 10 times, Vargas hit him with his best shot and couldn't even finish him .

tito was bigger and stronger than Vargas.

Vargas is one of those fighters who was good but not great, something about him in fights he would have moments where he would zone out and not do much.

I mean this is the same guy who got whooped by a washed up Mayorga.

I agree with this,he was not seasoned enough to be in the ring with Tito at that point to be honest..He was easily lured into a brawl and knockout in the end..some time would have help him to know his style and who he was as a fighter a bit better..Not saying he would ever beat Tito, just saying he may not have been stopped..

Tito ruined Vargas imo,he was never the same after that fight imo..

Just because a fighter loses doesn't mean he necessarily did anything wrong. He just ran into a damn wrecking ball. He lost to the better man.
