If I'm not mistaken THAT WAS the beginning of it. HBO chose the Chavez fight over the Canelo fight and rightfully so. After that, that's when GBP started migrating.

If you disagree, then what started the network war?

Floyd is not paid in entirely by Showtime. Floyd dictates what percentage they get. Floyd pays himself and his opponents salary.....If you need verification of these facts, go read this and then come back and tell me if Oscar or Showtime is paying him like you say...

He pays himself? Lol any idea how ******ed that sounds? Dude this is common knowledge, his 32m guarantee is covered by Showtime.

Maybe Floyd pays them for everything else, but if were are talking about purse, Golden Boy is paying him

Dude, he doesnt have a promoting license in Vegas where he fights so no he doesnt pay himself. I doubt he even pays his own fighters.

              He should get fired ASAP.
Every single thread I swear you post this same exact message. That is beyond weird. Do you know someone who works for TR/HBO? You also make up bull**** stories about your friend or relative who "just canceled their SHO sub".

              Yeah, you're definitely trustworthy.

Doe, you don't have to take my word for it. Show me a list of all non-PPV events made by SHO since Mayweather/Guerrero PPV to present and compare the number with HBO's, bearing in mind that SHO had many fighters at their disposal.

Its pretty obvious that u didnt even bother to read the article. Because if u did, u would have read paragraph 18 and line 1 and it clearly says floyd cuts himself a check. Now it might hirt to read that, but its true. Show me where i can find where Showtime covers his purse. Ive already given u facts which u have failed to read

Right. Espinoza loves Floyd so much that he's willing to risk a job that's probably pays him eight figures by paying Floyd a ****load of money for his PPV flops and to protect him from the big bad TR fighters.

Pacquaio's purse is paid by Arum, but Arum is only paying money he knows he is guaranteed through HBO. Arum is not going to risk money he knows he's not guaranteed to make. If the PPV does not do well, HBO takes a hit. Top Rank is not putting themselves on the hook like that for each event. And their offers to fighters (like Pacquaio) are based on figures HBO will or will not pay.

No they did not, not in this manner. Hardly any of them ever talked about HBO possibly going out of business over it either. And HBO's budget, before Showtime became such a player, was triple or quadruple what it is today.
