      This is ****ing sick.

Floyd can win THE middleweight championship by beating a welterweight he's already beaten. Please, if there are any boxing gods they cannot let this happen.

Last time Cotto fought at 147 was in 2009. Safe to say hes not a WW. He moved to MW and beat THE MW champion of the world. What more does he need to do?

Cotto is a much better fighter than Golovkin.
Cotto has accomplished more in the sport than GGG ever will.
Cottos resumes isnt even on the same planet as GGG's.
Cotto is the Lineal MW Champion of the World.

What has GGG ever done to be considered a good win? Speak broken english and knock out nobodies? Cmon NSB get your shyt together.
Cotto would be a no hoper against ggg though. Floyd loves them catchweights tho

Couple of years back he requested to defend his 154 belt against a one eyed noncontender at 150 lol

I'd rather see this "new" Cotto fight Floyd at 154. Only. That'd be a bs title for Floyd.

I hear a lot of talk saying Cotto will beat Mayweather even K.O him out this time. Mayweather clearly beat him last time around and was closer to stopping Cotto than vice versa. Cotto was not weight drained when they fought so he goes up in weight and thats supposed to be the difference??
Cotto's boxing on his toes looked sharp and he looked like a 15 round fighter with excellent balance, throwing fluid combinations with hard punches. He didnt have to showcase his defense much. He was very determined and focused the entirety of the fight and with Roach as his trainer comes with the right gameplan to beat MAyweather.
There is nothing from their first fight that warrants a rematch other than Cotto trying to avenge his lose. Mayweather skills simply compliment his style to clearly beat Cotto again. The fight taking place @160 does not play into Cotto's strength. Styles make fights.

Its the super junior middleweight championship.

But this is the new way in boxing. Dip your head into a division and take advantage of a lesser opponent to get a title. Everyone has done it, Pac, Cotto, Floyd.

The thing that is sickening is that the fanboy divide is so wide that people are actually believing these feats constitute being the man in each division.

There are certain people who watch boxing for the reality tv side of things and just want to see Cotto/Mayweather/Pacman/JMM fight each other over and over in a circle. Other fighters are seen as "nobodies" and "unnecessary business risks" because they haven't had much reality tv exposure.

Lets hope an actual MW comes along and knocks Cotto back down to size, but the way boxing is going, it's more likely we have a laughing stock "MW championship" between floyd and cotto.
