Its the promoter's job to promote. They should be setting those type of things up, and he needs to keep winning. He wouldn't know who to call, or what to do to get on those shows, but I'll bet he's willing to do them if TR was willing to reach out

ward does interviews,he's on hbo all the time,he's fought the big names,and still nobody really cares,what makes you think if rigo does that people will be interested? he can be on espn deportes,hbo like ward and people will still leave the arena and he'll have low ratings,it's his style that most people hate,you cant force people to like a certain fighter and watch him,in this sport it's business and people like certain fighters,thats why cotto does well,even Floyd understands that and fought maidana the way he did,

Listen I respect Rigo skills, but what I say below is harsh but truthful.

Anyone who blames Arum for Rigo not being a star or being pushed lose credibility, Rigo was being pushed early by Arum and HBO, **** they gave him an Early title shot as well he succeeded, you can't say he didn't [ush him even got him the Donaire fight, the reaosn Rigo is not a star because his style is boring as hell.

People don't want to see a point fight spar session, its how you deliver a fight and how you rise on the big stage.

Rigo doesn't speak English either so he is hard to market, this has nothing to do with Arum, Arum pushed Rigo hard early. Some guys are really reaching I saw some Cuban boxing channel saying Arum hates Cubans, BS, when he signed Rigo and Gamboa he pushed those guys hard, he got them HBO dates. If he hated them why would he push them, if he hated Gamboa why would he swipe him up from under Gary Shaw?

Gamboa screwed himself over by being difficult to work with during negotiations, and Rigo his style just isn't appealing to fans.

If you invest more money into Rigo you will just take a loss, Arum tried to help him out by saying you have to impress in your next fight, so they gave him a scrub tailormade fighter thinking Rigo would knock him out but instead he chose to pot shot him.

And people mentioning boring american fighters like Ward, well Ward will get pushed because he can speak english, is American gold medalist, Rigo is hard to sell stateside, that is why China is the best bet for Rigo to gain a fanbase and maybe get some big money chinese investors to pay for his fights

Promoters can only do so much. Arum gave the Cuban the exposure he needed and put him in a Pac fight when Donaire's request to be in it got rejected. "Too much ice cream is bad," replied Arum when asked why Donaire was never put in Pac's undercards.

Dude, Haymons' fighters don't even fight each other, let alone let them fight other fighters. Thurman is being ducked by a bunch of duckers in Haymon's stable. Fans have yet to see Broner vs Matthysse/Khan/Guerrero/Garcia/Thurman/Porter/Berto/Alexander/Peterson/Lopez.... Fans have yet to see Thurman vs everybody... Fans have yet to see Garcia vs Thurman/Broner/Maidana///......... Haymon's fighters are way over protected.

By far the best post on this thread. Rigo has the tools to be as good as anybody or better but he just refuses to help himself. As talented as he may be I'm not going to waste my time watching a fighter who refuses to engage and put any risk into a fight. I wish him well and I hope he makes as much money as possible in the sport but I won't be wasting my time watching this man fight and just put me to sleep. He's not entertaining and he has no one to blame but himself.

Arum is an idiot. He just likes to suck the money out of dumb PINOYS with Nonito ""the trash """ Donaire..... Even tho RIGO totally destroyed t,,,,the trash... I'm MEXICAN and to me RIGO is even better than MAYWEATHER . He is just unlucky to be in the smaller divisions. Rigo's hand speed,defence,reflexes and movement are great. LARA or Gamboa wish they were half as good as RIGO. Hopefully golden boy sings him up. So they can match him with mares and santacruz. The only reason why I root for mares is because he fought all the fighters that RUNITO DONAIRE SHOULD HAVE. BUT RUNITO KEPT FIGHTING grandpas and semi retired fighters. Best wishes to RIGO .
