I'm a fan of both but Andre Ward has had better dance partners. The only fighter of note that Rigo has fought is Donaire. Although Andre, like Rigo has a small fan base, Andre is a much more established fighter and is much more known than Rigo.

In terms of styles they are both "boring" to the casual boxing fan (which clearly you are) but to the boxing purist or hardcore boxing fans who value the sweet science of "hitting and not getting hit" both are masterful to watch.

      Take your pick.
Top rank won't match him up with those. And I think Gradovich is too high, isn't he like 130

Agbeko is a good gate keeper of the division.

Sitting at home chilling just like Rigo. You can't sit in little cuba and think the world is coming to you, plus Rigo really isn't that articulate so he ain't gonna do good with talk shows but he'd be hella good on latin boxing showcases doing live analysis for telemundo, televisa, etc like Marquez, Morales, Barrera, and countless other guys have done. You gotta help yourself with the opportunity. It cant all be all the promoter. I really like Rigo but to me he's the equivalent of a rapper with skills that signs to a major label and thinks that's it...no man you gotta keep your own buzz going...don't get out of people's face entirely for 10 months at a time. When was the last time ya'll seen Rigo at the fights? At any HBO boxing show? Marquez is a household name, he earned it the hardway but he's still grinding tv out between fights.
Its the promoter's job to promote. They should be setting those type of things up, and he needs to keep winning. He wouldn't know who to call, or what to do to get on those shows, but I'll bet he's willing to do them if TR was willing to reach out

This coming from the guy who had the most expensive product in the business (Mayweather) and had no clue how to promote him.

Keep up the good work, Bob.

Bob and HBO sure think they're something. So, EVERY fight on HBO has to have big ratings? And besides, Arum is the one who started this attitude toward Rigo. He was whining live on HBO about it the night Rigo gave Donut Head a boxing lesson.

Rigo would be smart to tell Arum to stick it. He can get some fights without him, and make a living doing it.

what is arum to do if hbo doesn't want him? I have no problem with guys fighting whichever way they want, fight how you want but just don't complain later, cant have it both ways,it's a business, when you get one of the lowest ratings ever and people leaving the arena and booing, what do you expect? fight however you want to,keep winning and beating good champs, but just don't complain about how much money you make, the low ratings, etc I don't watch his fights,i don't know what it is about him that is just boring,he doesn't seem to throw enough punches,he holds back when he could finish an opponent out of fear of getting hit,i like watching boxers but not like him,it seems he fights with fear, anyways that's just my opinion but like I said fight however you want, but nobody has to like you

Arum did a good job on Bradley, though. Considering Bradley can't even draw flies pre-TR days. But then Bradley had an action-packed fight when he traded with Provodnikov. That's why it's still the fighter himself that could do miracles on his career.

I would watch any Bradley fight.

Thurman vs Bradley would be good.

Rigondeaux’s falling out with Top Rank has been well-chronicled. Rigondeaux’s team feels the promoter hasn’t done enough to market him and his talent. Top Rank feels that Rigondeaux’s style isn’t marketable. And Rigondeaux went from defeating Nonito Donaire on HBO last year to waiting for a second date on that network. Then he got one and topped a reluctant Joseph Agbeko late last year on HBO, a bout that pulled in an incredibly low viewership rating for the network. [Click Here To Read More]
Funny how Arum is willing to let Rigo fight out the end of his deal, yet won't do the same for Chavez Jr, a fighter he's regularly called a screw-up at every chance.

                      Oh well
