Froch won his titles fair and square, in the ring, beating Lucien Bute, who Ward himself didn't seem to want to fight. He is ready and willing to defend them against Andre Ward. All Ward has to do is accept the challenge and come over to the UK, which he said he would do to fight Groves.
No way would a guy of Ward's standing be "jobbed" if he fought over here. There would be neutral officials and he would be treated like the S.O.G. by the British boxing authorities.
Ward is the "I've kicked every relevant super middleweight, including Carl Froch's ass" title. And that's the only title at 168lbs that matters. Which means Froch is nothing but a mere contender. And under no circumstances is the champion obligated to bow down and bevdictated by a mere challenger.

      The situations are completely different.
you say that floyd ducked all these fighters....well you still duckin my tough questions,
      1. what notable win does kovalev have?!?!? i mean since you label kovalev as tbe and you call the great mayweather a duck that hasn't beat a great fighter in 10-20 years or whatever you claim
      2. did you finally realize that leonard didn't beat hearns 2x?
      3. is that why you took your list of great fighters with notable wins off your profile after i corrected you?

if you criticize a fighter like mayweather of "ducking" then i'm assuming you wouldn't do the same thing and duck a few questions

      • A real shame because as much as Froch talks of his place in history his legacy it will always be said that he wasn't even the best in his own weight division at the time.
Carl should rethink this and not try to pull Ward down as Ward won nearly every round of their fight. Coming off a good victory over Groves I would have thought Froch would be chomping at the bit to get a rematch with Ward to try and avenge his lost but he doesn't seem to fancy it.
Chavez jr. is nonsense really and I'm not sure they can keep him off the blow long enough to make the fight!

        • Just like likely all of you, I've seen Ward/Froch already. Froch stands no chance in a rematch, a point that I think all of us can agree to. However, I'd love to watch him fight JCC Jr or GGG for that matter. Froch stands to make a much higher payday by fighting JCC Jr. rather than Ward. If you're Hearn or Goosen, how do you sell a rematch when the initial fight was so one sided? I was more intrigued by Edwin Rodriguez fighting Ward than a potential rematch simply because Rodriguez might have been able to use his power as the naturally bigger fighter coming off the Monaco fights.

For Ward, I think the best fight for him now is GGG if he doesn't want to move up from 168.

it's mary jane he's hooked and not blow...or at least i hope it's not blow , i agree 100 tho froch has a chance at greatness if he avenges his loss to ward, he'd be in the threshold of greatness if he were to agree to fight ward but he knows he'd lose, his wife knows he'll lose, his children probably understand he'll lose, his fans know he'll lose, his cousins know he'll lose, sir alex ferguson knows he'd lose, arsene wenger knows he'll lose, roy hodgson knows he'll lose, shakespeare knew he'd lose that's why he wrote a little message for Froch:
"SWEET ARE THE USES OF ADVERSITY, WHICH, LIKE THE TOAD, UGLY AND VENOMOUS, WEARS YET A PRECIOUS ***EL IN HIS HEAD"
c'mon Froch take a chance and TRY to unify those titles, or are you a little yella??

The fight can't happen now anyway, because of Ward's contract dispute.
Just out of interest though, why do think it is that Ward said he would come to the UK to fight Groves, but won't do it for Froch?

The only explanation I can think of is that Ward believes Froch would be a difficult opponent second time around, and he wants every advantage he can possibly get before fighting him.

Like I've said about 5x already. Froch is a local star, Ward isn't gonna stop him, and he doesn't wanna get robbed. Groves isn't near the star Froch is. Ward probably feels he'll a fs iterates shake.

I can't make sense of your last sentence. Too many typos.
I think what your answer boils down to though, is that Ward is a spoiler, not a clean boxer or a decisive finisher, and he doesn't know if he would be allowed to spoil his way to a points win against Froch away from home, if Froch got fired up and really went after him.

                  • ward nears to earn his shot at froch. beating rodriguez and a drained dawson isn't good enough.

froch going to get that big money fight he rightfully deserves against future p4p'er chavez jr.

Froch since then is number1 in the super middleweight division in terms of rank and draw.
If you want to say that Froch is the biggest draw in the division that's fine.

But he's not the best fighter in the division. There's only one REAL world champion at 168 and that's Andre Ward. You can only take that away from him in the ring, it doesn't matter how popular you are or how much money you make.
