If that makes you feel better sure. But the fight truly is pointless. Why blame Froch who already took his lumps for not wanting more? This is on Ward, (who I used to be a huge fan of and still respect). Ward should be looking to fight fighters that give him some cred. Not looking to recycle a fighter he already dominated. Not really. Froch has already fought Ward and has said he would like to avenge the defeat before he retires.

Ward needs to sort of his promotional issues and either become the kind of star Froch is or actually make concessions to get the rematch done.

I saw that fight. Ward won clearly but it wasn't easy, and he definitely had two arms.

Froch isn't ducking Ward, he would fight him for sure if Ward was available and would agree to do it in the UK, where it would be a much more lucrative fight. But Ward won't fight Froch in the UK and Froch won't fight him in the USA.

Not sure how long you've been following boxing. But look at B-Hop's reign as middleweight champion. He fought guys like Robert Allen and Antwan Echols 2-3x apiece. And he handled each easily each time. Nobody criticizes him for that. Wladimir has fought Tony Thompson multiple times. I think he fought Sam Peter multiple times. He fought Chris Byrd multiple times. I think everyone would like to see Ward move up. But for whatever reason he doesn't want to. But its not like he's selective about who he'll move up for and who he won't. He and Froch are basically in the same boat. Both wanna remain in at 68. And to me its lame to fight in a division and blatantly duck the best guy, whether you've already fought him or not.

Switch hitting now. I read the comparisons you put forth in this tread. With the glaring difference of course being that Froch already got dominated by Ward.

Heavy weight fighters do not apply here. There's really no where else for them to go. And the majority of the times Hopkins fought those guys, none were superstars.

Andre Ward can move, has already beaten Froch, but wants to sit at 168 and expect things to be handed to him just because. There is quite literally nothing at 168 for him, seriously. If you feel that Froch should jump at the chance to allow Ward to piggy back off of his accomplishments as the lesser fighter, then just say so.
