The big K-1 (kickboxing) events would sell 60,000-80,000 seats every year in Japan in the early 2000s, shame it fell apart

In recent memory, nothing comes close. Hatton v Lazcano did 50k+, Wlad/Haye was big but still, nothing close.

I'm pretty sure Klitschko-Chagaev did 60,000 or so.

dempsey did crazy numbers at the gate a well.

85 in new york against firpo
            120 against tunney
            well over 100K against carpentier

dempsey vs tunney actually did a two million dollar gate in the "long count" fight.

what was the total gate from froch - groves?

you guys understand that maywqweather - pacquiao could sell out a larger stadium if the tickets weren't so expensive, right? there's a reason that these fights are at major vegas casinos. some of the wealthiest people in the world go to these fights, and lose money at the casinos.
