        2. Well we do know for sure, that was the whole reason for Froch-Groves II, to find out if the KO was a legit and the second fight showed it was.
        1. Johnson hadn't deteriorated that much within 18 months, it wasn't like 5 years had passed, there was only an 18 month gap between the Froch fight and the Groves fight. Johnson lost to Froch, Bute, Fonfara and Groves all in a row - but they're all very good boxers. I'd say Groves fought roughly the same version of Johnson that Froch did - unless Johnson took him lightly and didn't prepare.

        2. No we don't know for sure what would have happened in the first fight. You are arguing a position now that you surely know isn't true. How many times did Marquez KO Pacquiao in the 4 fights? Each fight is different and can have a different result. Groves might have survived Froch in the first fight and won a close decision or he might have been knocked out again, as I said we don't know for sure. Just look at all the various rematches in boxing history that had very different results between them to demonstrate that the rematch isn't a mirror image of the first fight.

        Here's some examples:

Williams vs Quintana 1: Quintana wins by decision
Williams vs Quintana 2: Williams wins by KO

Stiverne vs Arreola 1: Stiverne wins by decision
Stiverne vs Arreola 2: Stiverne wins by KO

Pacquiao vs Morales 1: Morales wins by decision
Pacquiao vs Morales 2: Pacquiao wins by KO

Alvarado vs Rios 1: Rios wins by KO
Alvarado vs Rios 2: Alvarado wins by decision

        The list is endless..
