Calzaghe: "I would have destroyed Froch, there is no comparison"

He clearly lost to Kessler when Mikkel was still game.
He clearly took a fight with J.Taylor after Taylor got his ass beat by Kelly twice and not to mention the two wars with Bhop...
He was schooled by Andre Dirrell but got a gift decision and Ward schooled him aswell lol.
His best wins are Pascall, Abraham and Bika...
Joes are Eubank, Bhop, Kessler
Abraham and Jeff Lacy are comparable both are overrated and soon as they stepped up they got exposed to not be that good and you can make a similar comparison to Richie Woodhall and George Groves but atleast Woodhall won a world title!Comment

You may have been a better fighter but your resume isn't so you won't go down higher on the ATG P4P list.
If you would have destroyed him then, why not come back and win on points with what's left if you're that confident?Comment

It's funny, his legend does still grow with every win Hopkins, Kessler and Bika achieve.Comment

The Hopkins fight was far from a gift lol. I remember thinking it was a draw. Joe outworked him but Hopkins scored the kd and landed cleaner. From memory, not really a fight I wanna watch again lolComment

I like Calzaghe, he was a great boxer, but he needs to take his thumb out his arse. He sounds like a right bitch there. So what if Froch lost to Kessler and Ward. There is no shame at losing, especially at the top level where the margins are small. When fighters take on the biggest challenges the chances are they will pick up losses along the way. Far too much is made about "0". Someone is going to lose but they should be respected for taking on the fights.Comment

Froch has two losses on his record.
One against a past prime version of what Joe beat.
He's literally razor close to being at a total of 4 losses.
That is without any exaggeration.
Play the Dirrell, Taylor, Groves fights over - and he is undoubtedly fortunate to have been on the winning side of ALL of them.
Put all these factors together, and there is simply no case for Froch over Calzaghe, in the ring or resume in-fact.
The SMW division did not go from weak to strong overnight like some make out was the reality. The dominant force retired, freed up the belts, and there was an exciting tournament of the NEXT, best fighters, all a slight level down.Comment
