I wouldn't blame Froch for turning down Degale either to fight in Vegas.
You effectively did, and others have said he did.

It's a shame the fight never happened. But if we're looking at reasons for that, I'd be looking at Froch not challenging for a belt and making himself relevant until his 30s.

There's plenty of sticks to beat Calzaghe with, but this ain't one of them.

That just is not true. He just made good fighters look like tomato cans. I think his hand speed, work rate, boxing skills and good chin would take him to victory over Froch.
well i'm pretty sure there was another guy in the same division, at the same exact time who racked up 21 title defenses and calzaghe never fought him.

no they were mostly tomato cans. only 8 were ranked in the top 10. 1 of those was manfredo so that shows you how sh-itty the division was. manfredo would never sniff a ranking right now.

That fight doesn't warrant a rematch.

And they tried to make it in the UK.

          No, actually, I didn't.

I didn't once say Calzaghe ducked Froch.

I said they overlapped, something you tried to say didn't happen.

I just said Calzaghe didn't duck Froch.

All I was doing was calling you out on your lies that that never overlapped, that's not true. They did overlap when Froch was the mandatory for his belt.

And, something you tried to deny, he was the madatory and Calzaghe turned it down.

I don't blame Calzaghe for not fighting Froch in 2008.
            Lies eh. Classy.

Calzaghe was at 175. They didn't overlap. If Froch moved up you might have a point. If Calzaghe didn't retire you might have a point. As it is, you don't and are attempting to crowbar a pretty poor justification of your argument.

Ah. Ottke. That Reid fight and officiating was remarkable.

                Yes, they are lies.

"They didn't overlap" - Lie, Froch was the mandatory for his belt. If Froch is the mandatory for Calzaghe's belt then obviously they overlapped. There were discussions for that fight aswell.

"He wasn't mandatory" - Lie, Froch was mandatory for the WBC title in April of 2008.

                "Calzaghe vacated the title" Lie.

Yeah you did, but there's little point labouring the point. It's far too late and I've got another kid to look after in the morning

Calzaghe was a SMW in April 2008. Lie.
Froch was a credible opponent in April 2008. Lie.
Calzaghe didn't vacate the title. Lie.
