Once Floyd is gone, bye bye most of Haymon's power.

I don't know this for a fact, but I will speculate.

Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon are already Road Kill. Forget them. Also...Right now Oscar is introducing candidates for Golden Boy CEO to the representatives of HBO, Showtime, the Casinios and the Sponsors. Oscar may be a drug addict incapable of functioning as CEO of Golden Boy, but he damn sure knows that GBP needs a CEO that:

      1. Is willing to work with other promoters to make great fights
      2. Is acceptable to other business interests (i.e., spnsores, casinios, networks, etc.)

As such, Oscar probably has more political stroke in the industry right now than any promoter - even Arum - for Oscar is the only entity in the sport who can get the good fights rolling again.

As a result, I think Oscar is going to be successful. I think he'll soon get rid of Schaeffer and announce the new Golden Boy CEO and the fights will again start being made.

It would be interesting to see how the fighters would respond if Haymon did actually find another company to go to. This isn't like Top Rank where the company is headed by some crook in a suit. Fighters actually respect Oscar.

Yes...fighters respect Oscar, and so do the business interests who sponsor and promote boxing. Although people know Oscar has problems, they also know his heart is in the right place and that he will choose a good CEO. As a result, Oscar has allies.

And, while I may discuss guys like Schaefer and Haymon....these guys are nobodies - they are just Floyd's Flunkies who have followed his instructions through the years and managed to screw-up boxing. The real war all along is between Floyd and Boxing - that he wants to control so he can cherry-pick his fights.

Well, Floyd and his buddies have no allies now. They are going to fail.

Schaefers a nobody? The man built GBP into a powerhouse. GBP was a joke before he got there. Oscar is just a name.

Yep...Like I said, Schaefer is just Floyd's Flunkie. I believe he'll soon be out of Boxing forever. Golden Boy will get a new CEO (probably already been approved by the Boxing Powers that be).

Floyd will now be without any meaningful allies. HBO, Showtime, Arum, Oscar, the Sponsors....they are all probably aligned against him, or should be. I bet even the sanctioning bodies are in on this, too.

People like Schaefer don't walk the street without protection nor should he. Don't you think if Oscar could just get rid of him he would've done it by now? This beef between Golden Boy and Schaefer is ****ing Showtime. In case you have forgotten Canelo has a fight coming up and this one is going to flop like Canelos first fight. Where's the promotion for this fight?

I almost want to see Canelo loose just to **** Oscar. And I'm a huge Canelo fan. But Oscar don't have the balls to finish off Top Rank. I bet Schaefer looks at Oscar like he's a weak *****. The dude check himself into rehab the week of the biggest fight of the year last year lol. He ain't got the balls for promoting. He's too soft.

Golden Boy can't split, it's Oscar's company. All that will happen is that they'll fire their negligent CEO.
