Thurman is managed by AL Haymon. HBO Boxing President Herschman said he will not work with Al Haymon or his fighters. ODH is not going to make HBO work with Al Haymon.

Why can't you just admit this and post what really needs to happen to end the cold war-Herschman needs to be willing to put Haymon managed fighters on HBO.

I keep seeing this ****** list and it's annoying.

It's useless when Haymon can't provide fights for these people. Showtime simply don't have the kind of deep pocket HBO have. SHO can't accommodate all of them and make them fight frequently.

Look at that list. I barely see many of them fight. SHO/Haymon/Schaefer have been putting all their eggs in one unprofitable Mayweather PPV basket. I'm a SHO subscriber and have noticed that the non PPV fights they've been producing are becoming rarer and rarer.

De La Hoya was already being pushed out, thus his motive to patch things up with Arum. He thought if he could arrange some super fights he could reassert his power in boxing.

Schaefer has for long felt he is the one running the show, he's been looking for an excuse to push De La Hoya out. It'll be interesting, but I doubt it'll make that much difference. The cold war will continue if only because fighters are on different networks; you'll have the odd fighter who will be able to float between the two companies, but many probably won't want to. This arrangement is suitable to many fighters since no one has to go through the whole gauntlet of killers.

AL Haymon's job as a manager is to get his fighters the best paydays. He did that. WHy would you have a problem.

We can agree it ****** having to watch Berto and bum of the month and some of the other putrid HBO fights. why would you blame Haymon for decisions made by HBO brass? Herschman came in, banned Haymon, fired Kerry Davis, and didn't improve the quality of programming on his boxing shows. You still blaming Al?

I don't even get why they're giving all this credit to the Swiss banker. Oscar was in the thick of it promoting fights personally as far back as some forgettable fights like Khan/McCloskey in the UK. I've seen him promote high profile fights before he went to rehab.
