That read like a post from nsb not an article from a professional writer, he genuinely seems mad. Im not sure why though, it happens to every fighter that takes a tune up or perceived easy touch when fans have a different fight in mind, you better dominate or people are going to start talking ****, that's the internet, its nothing new or to be surprised at.

People will say Fonfara is tough and can **** and maybe so but its not the point, most people don't know him and it was looked at as an easier fight for Stevenson than his last few and one that he should win with no issues but it backfired and he stumbled a few times before getting the win. Take a look back at any fight in the past that was looked at as a mismatch before hand but ended up being closer than expected and you will find the same type of comments, its not people picking on Stevenson its just how boxing is, take the good with the bad.

But that's just it with those who thought this would be an easy fight for Stevenson; they didn't bother to check out any of Fonfara's previous fights. How can one predict how a fight will go if one doesn't even know what both of the fighters are bringing to the table? I checked out Fanfora's fight against Glen Johnson. Although Johnson is a little faded, he can still ****, is very ring savvy and tough. Fonfara handled himself well in that fight. This told me that he would at least give Stevenson a hard time. Turns out he did.

To me, it was a good fight that tested Stevenson. Is he Superman? Of course not, but who is? I credit both men for not giving up when hurt and tired. They both went down, got up and fought on. This is what boxing is about! Forget the hype, it's mostly the result of sensationlist reporting. We need more competitive fights like this.

It's probably his conditioning or lack thereof, more so than his age. Remember, he's been blowing people out rather early. He's only really gone into deep waters about 4 times in 25 fights. He needs to train for the distance, because that's where he's weakest. Otherwise, BHOP will take him to deep waters and drown him.

The difference between a boxing fan and a knowledgeable boxing fan is how in "awe" each one was over the skills of Adonis. The former confuse KO power with greatness. The latter saw the hole in the game of a pure power puncher. Lunging, telegraphing,the poor cardio and the lack of effective footwork. Intimidation only goes so far. His goose is cooked and yes, Kovalev is a MUCH better boxer.
