These people made their minds up about Stevenson very early on. I don't think there's anything the guy could do to please them.

He has a big mouth, the whole network Kovalev thing, has a fight with a feather-fisted Fonfara and can't finish him because he's so one dimensional, can't use his right hand for ****, his resistance to being heavily attacked is suspect.
He gassed out. It could be a one-off fight or signs he was never reall that great, time will tell.
But he made it EASY for everyone to turn on him.

Not sure if the author has noticed, but Stevenson's defence is very poor.
Something British posters pointed out after the Bellew fight as we were naturally pulling for Bellew, was that when Tony actually landed a couple of clean shots Adonis did not take them well at all, even looked stunned for a bit.
He's wide open to the right hand and when it lands his legs do a shuffle. He's a KO waiting to happen, in fact, it has already happened, as early as round 2 v Boone.
Good fighter, had a great year in 2013 but Superman he ain't.

it has been clear that he's limited for a long time. i didn't find the fast knock-out over the ghost of sad chad exciting at all. and the shameless/shameful avoidance of kovalev was when any respect i might have had for him disappeared. if he fights kovalev within his next two fights i will forgive him, even if he gets beaten as easily as i suspect he will.

Not a fan bc of his perceived attitude--which is bad--but think he's a dangerous fighter. Plus, he improved dramatically under Steward. Take into account he hasn't been fighting near as long as others due to late start.
Steward turned him into better fighter but not sure his successor trainers (Stewards nephew?)can keep Adonis on an upward trend. He may have plateaud so to speak. Plus he doesn't even live in USA unlike Kovalev. How many Americans were HUGE fans of Calzaghe, Frank Bruno, Ricky Hatton, David Haye, Corey Sanders?
