Your losing your capacity to be rationale in your butthurt state: Think about what you just posted here: The fact that 70 percent of people who purchase records are white (if what you say is so) hardly means that 70 percent of white people buy rap records....Think it through I doubt this needs an explanation.
The fact that you think this revelation has any relevance tells me you're a ****ing idiot . Do you read posts or just skim through it?
No one is trying to speak on the behalf of black people...at least not me but have seen some posts like that..
1. Are TI and Floyd not idolized by portions of the youth for their status and success?
2. Did they act like idiots in this situation or do you condone and support their actions?
Just answer those questions and you will probably have the same answers as I did, but since I'm not black I'm wrong and have no say... That's about as narrow minded as you can get
You somehow tried to equate this to conditions and actions in poor communities. That's where you're wrong.
Hell be okay....hell break out a candle, maybe a sad song, have a good long cry....reflect on the knowledge that common sense alone should inform the difference between 70 percent of a market and 70 percent of the population.... and all will be kumbayai!!!
Wow that 70% is really hurting your feelings. Don't blame me, I didn't force them.
(Your inaccurate phrasing aside) When did Floyd become a role-model and for whom?
I know many up & coming boxer's look up to his technical skill-set and how well he executes in the ring. But I don't think many view him as a role-model -- More so than a role-model, he's an example of what hard work and dedication yields in the sport of boxing.
In a broader sense, it would seem that many have jaded personal interpretations of certain people in general, and that clouds any possibility of being objective. No matter what Floyd does or doesn't do, his actions will always be viewed in a negative light. This isn't necessarily Floyd's fault!
If for example, I interpret and view every rapper as a thug-like character, then no matter what personal reality exists, they will be viewed negatively purely because of my jaded perception and pseudo-interpretations.
Your right and ignorance is the culprit. People have been conditioned to think that African Americans are bad and need to be damn near perfect or else and that's really f'd up! Duran spat on Ray Leonard's wife during the promo of their fight and would do anything dirty to win but he is looked upon as a legend but Floyd in all his ring wizardry is expected to be a road scholar in a hurt sport. They say they don't like Floyd because he beat his ex but we've never seen a stitch of evidence and if he really would've trust and believe they would've shown it. I would respect a man if he just came out and said " I don't like Floyd because he's black and rich.
Exactly!! The problem is they can't wrap their minds around the fact that they went to school all those years but this urban kid makes more money than their entire family extended included will ever make. I expect to hear BS but don't we get education to become successful? It's F'd up to them that this kid (Floyd) used his God given talents and has accomplished more than they can dream of. Floyd may not be a role model outside of the ring but he damn sure is one when it comes to his craft.
What's even sadder is that I'm a felon with no college degree and make more money than a lotta college graduates.
