how many 30 year olds have a resume like ward's? few, if any, have a better resume.

tim bradley is one. i'd have to think about it and check some ages for the others.
I was talking relative to all time since people have labeled him as a future atg. He has very few quality wins and has beaten such a limited range of styles.

Ward is one of the best, a truly great fighter, he beat everyone to the point where he has virtually no opponents left.

Not an exciting fighter though for the most part and nowhere near active enough of late. Caught up in Mayweather-esque divadom talking about PPVs etc.

That gets lost around here, which is why I sometimes do want to see Hopkins vs Ward even now

Go watch the Sakio Bika fight if you want to see him an inside battle. That was a rough, tough fight.

Hopkins didn't want to fight Ward, and that says it all. No excuses about mutual respect either because the same guy wants to fight Floyd at 160 and Ward says he was open to the Hopkins bout.

Beating a 50 year old won't ever impress me tbh.

It's more out of interest, I'm not expecting it to be competitive at all. I want to see just how well he'll defend against an opponent who can throw short hooks up close, uppercuts down the middle and mix it up in the clinches as well. Also want to see how he avoids the lead right hands.

There aren't enough opponents in or around his division to ever build a resume that is ATG worthy from a historical perspective. In comparison to his peers, fighters that are age 30 and under currently, he is clearly the class of his era.

That was a good performance in my opinion, think he handled it well though I know many would disagree. That said Bika isn't an inside fighter, he's just rugged.

No he isn't. I think that would be Stevenson or Kovalev. Hell the entire LHW division is overrated.
