I don't know why people in here are so surprise, the outcome of the fight bethween Angulo vs Canelo, previous to the fight Angulo and Hunter were saying all along that they were preparing for a Canelo that would use the ring and run away from angulo. Angulo said he did not belived Canelo would fight toe to toe, even if he(Canelo) said he would and OHH surprise!!!! he did just that. I don't think Virgil and angulo were prepared for an agressive Canelo that would be on his face all night long doing the opposite for what him and Virgil prepared for, so he look confuse and did not have a plan B as he usually doesn't and the result was a worst beatting than Lara's.

How is an orbital bone break lucky? Actually, was that even proven? Anyway, he got his face disfigured because Lara was punching him in it. This is a 50/50 fight not sure why people can't see that. These are the kinds of fights we as fans want.Comment

Exactly, people act like it was headbutts that caused Angulo to have a swollen face.
Angulo said he quit because of a broken face but when he went to the hospital to have it checked out they said he had no fractures whatsoever, he just quit.Comment

I couldn't remember exactly but I do remember them saying it was a "thumb" now unless Lara has the biggest, strongest thumbs in boxing history than no Angulo. It was his fist.Comment

Angulo was only an ATG pressure fighter for one fight. There's no other explanation for his remarkable performance against Erislandy ATG Lara. No way that an ATG like Angulo could get stopped in dominant fashion by the lowly Canelo.
Lara just isn't as good as his fans think he is (me included). Angulo is a C level fighter. Lara struggling against Angulo doesn't mean anything for this fight, just how Canelo "struggling" against Trout doesn't matter either. Lara doesn't fight like Trout, Angulo or Mayweather.
It's a 50/50 fight imo. Lara has the stronger background and physical gifts, but Canelo has a lot of heart and underrated skills. It's going to be a great fight. The fans calling a robbery before the fight should be ashamed for making pre-fight excuses.
Thank you! you sir. stole those words out of my mind!Comment

Immediately after the fight, there was concern that Perro's orbital bone had been broken. After some tests, it turned out there was no break. Regardless, Angelo's face was swollen to near disfigurement. It didn't get like that by no thumb in the eye, or just a couple of light punches landing. Landy was tagging that mug hard, and repeatedly. It's always the same Lara haters that deny that fact.Comment

People are such hypocrites.
If their favorite fighter gets dropped twice and comes back to score a late round TKO "Wow, he's a warrior. This is what boxing is all about. Fight of the year. 2 warriors going at it. Blood, sweat and tears."
When a fighter they dislike gets dropped twice and comes back to score a late round TKO. "Hahaha. He got exposed. He's a bum. He's an overrated hypejob"Comment

Pretty much, man. Perro claimed he was thumbed, but that simply didn't happen. Okay, maybe he believed he was thumbed. But if that was the case, he shouldn't have turned his back on Lara and walked away. Plain and simple. Every fighter knows you forfeit the fight in that moment. (A couple of weeks ago, on FNF, the referee ended a fight because one guy gave his back to his opponent during an exchange. It's something you just don't do.)Comment
