Not to mention, he killed himself to make the weight while Canelo didn't even bother. Something a lot of people overlook.

The fighter that had the most success: Molina was able to close the distance, get to the body and score on the inside. I think that's where Canelos advantages are.
Great post I agree on every point. I have always said that Lara is very precise, accurate and great at keeping his distance with his foot work! IMO Lara has the sharpest 1-2 in the game

It'll be interesting to see if Canelo can implement the Molina gameplan. Molina was very active in that fight; I also think that he slides in and out of range faster than Canelo does.

He's very tricky. He has a sneaky right hook that he uses occasionally and he also likes to invite you to come in and time you with that left uppercut. Where he has struggled is at close range.

Molina's a tricky fighter himself. He did a good job in the early rounds of circling away from Lara's left hand or smothering him and scoring in close. But Lara started to figure him out later in the fight and was able to escape with a draw.

As sharp as he is and as great as his foot work is he does have the most atrocious inside game! I thought with Ronnie shields he would've improved by now but that's not the case.

You're right. Molina is very tricky. He isn't your typical face first "pressure" fighter.

Compensation doesn't make you feel any better from killing yourself to make weight. Thought I'd let you know that.

One guy was healthier than the other cause one busted his ass to make the weight while the other one didn't even bother. Get it? Got it? Good.

Missed me with that nationalistic ****, bruh.

Angulo was only an ATG pressure fighter for one fight. There's no other explanation for his remarkable performance against Erislandy ATG Lara. No way that an ATG like Angulo could get stopped in dominant fashion by the lowly Canelo.

Lara just isn't as good as his fans think he is (me included). Angulo is a C level fighter. Lara struggling against Angulo doesn't mean anything for this fight, just how Canelo "struggling" against Trout doesn't matter either. Lara doesn't fight like Trout, Angulo or Mayweather.

It's a 50/50 fight imo. Lara has the stronger background and physical gifts, but Canelo has a lot of heart and underrated skills. It's going to be a great fight. The fans calling a robbery before the fight should be ashamed for making pre-fight excuses.

Boxing, not personalities, that's where I'm at. Sneaky rights, dangling lefts. There's a lot to discuss besides insults and motivation. Canelo hasn't been mauled as bad as Lara, though Lara came back to win, he's gone down hard. There is room for speculation both ways. Canelo faded against Floyd, but that was Floyd, Lara is easier to hit.

Lara's biggest performance will always be the one he put up against Paul Williams even though he was robbed but that was Pauls first fight since he was brutally KO'd by Sergio. Other than that and the Trout fight he looked bad against Vanes and Molina. Dropped by Angulo twice in an ok performance. You look to Discredit Canelo while Lara hasn't been all that impressive either.
