Who called Lara a master boxer besides Al Bernstein?

Lara didn't take more damage than Angulo. He got dropped twice. So what? How many times has Juan Manuel Marquez been dropped in his last 10 fights? Scoring a knockdown is only worth 1 point.

He won 6-7 out of the 9 rounds and was clearly winning round 10. Despite the 2 KDs he was still winning on the judges scorecards in a fight where GBP didn't want him to win.

It wasn't as bad of a performance as everybody makes it out to be. It just further exposed his poor inside game which he didn't develop over the course of 300 or so amateur fights.
      lol School's in session....

Some people seem to think that a guy that moves is a "master boxer." Lara is too one-dimensional to be called that. Rigo, on the other hand, is motherfucking Yoda.

People want to lump all of the Cuban boxers as one. They all are different fighters and IMO Rigo is number 1 by far. Dude is sick in the ring. Rigo

Yeah, there's a tendency towards technical boxing, but not all these guys fight the same. Rigo is currently the only P4P Cuban boxer, so he's clearly número uno. Even if Lara manages to notch Canelo, he'll always be vulnerable to defeat. No one is invincible, but "El Chacal" is as close to it as most anyone.

I don't understand this statement. First you say Lara won't exchange with Canelo, then you say he "better not run." (I'm assuming by "run," you mean box.) You're right about the first part; Landy isn't going to trade. Why should he? That's not the way he fights. He'll be looking to use his movement and counter Alvarez every chance he gets. Would you go into any kind of contest and play your game, or your opponent's game? Why should Lara be any different?

That is a possibility, but that really does not mean much to this fight.

Rigo is a monster. It sucks his promoter doesn't like to promote him.

lara is been talking trash, he even said he will fight canelo in the streets, and some people here think that canelo doesnt have enough power to put lara on *****, lara him self knows that the moment he tries to exchange he is going down...lara is going to be on survival mode expecting to get a decision... trout made the fight vs canelo close cuz he was aggressive, i dont expect lara to do the same...
