Let's not forget without his speed, and consequently his power, and his heart, he is actually pretty poor fundamentally, although he's improved over the years. That's why I have always said Floyd would have a field day on Manny, Manny would never trouble him like Maidana did, not 2009 Manny, not any version, Floyd would eat him for breakfast.
how can a scared coward like fraud jr eat pac for breakfast?

only idiot would think... oh wait... nevermind.

Speed first and foremost, and though its not up there his chin just because Marquez put him to sleep doesn't take away from the bombs he's withstood in his past wars.

besides the speed obviously, its really his counter punching. He is the one of the most underrated counter punchers ever. He counters the jab as good as anyone, and that was the main reason he just beat the crap out of Cotto. He rolls under hooks incredibly well, and throws an excellent check hook.

With Bradley he was feinting and getting him to over commit, and he made him pay. So yea, I would vote his counter punching, but its not an option.

Manny said it himself, "I never had the skill to be a great boxer, only a sheer determination to rise above poverty". Floyd is the exact opposite, he didn't come from overwhelming poverty, and he was both born with a God given gift, and was developed into a world class fighter from near infancy. Not the same at all.
And who exactly is the current top P4P fighter of this era going to be a contender to?

I don't know, whoever the p4p king would be assuming Floyd wouldn't be if he didn't have his speed, this is the guy I was responding to's hypothetical, not my own, I didn't bring up Floyd losing alot if losing his speed, the other guy did, I justd argued against him, did you read? Pay attention.

I agree with Pacquiao being an underrated counter puncher. Counter opunching can go under "timing" in the choices.

Unless Floyd went back in time to challenge a prime version of himself, he isn't going to be a contender to anybody, in or around his division.

I get the point you are making Loaded, and I agree that Pac's greatest asset is speed. That said, if you take away anyone's greatest attribute they become significantly worse. Take away Floyd's timing and he becomes average. You can make that case for any fighter ever.

Not really, and now you are changing the topic because I said nothing about timing I was talking about speed. Timing is more important than speed in boxing so that is a different argument but if you are a complete enough fighter and you lose any one attribute you should have enough tools in your arsenal to overcome it or mask it 90% of the time. Either way this isn't about him it's about Mannys attribute, people just can't seem to see Floyds name in a post without letting it go, but I am not going to go on about it in this thread, it's my intention to keep it on topic and I have to head to the gym soon anyway.
