At this point, I would say his experience.
Manny Pacquiao's greatest attribute?

Not really, and now you are changing the topic because I said nothing about timing I was talking about speed. Timing is more important than speed in boxing so that is a different argument but if you are a complete enough fighter and you lose any one attribute you should have enough tools in your arsenal to overcome it or mask it 90% of the time. Either way this isn't about him it's about Mannys attribute, people just can't seem to see Floyds name in a post without letting it go, but I am not going to go on about it in this thread, it's my intention to keep it on topic and I have to head to the gym soon anyway.
EDIT: I was simply using Floyd as an example. I wasn't changing a subject or using his name to stir something else. Simply using him as an example.Comment

His lack of true "boxing" fundementals/his agression because of if.
It's why he fights in such a manner with disregard to himself. Even without handspeed Pac would still be a big punching AGRESSIVE southpaw who throws with you, before you, or after you and with his powerful legs he stays infront. Pac has good timing, dont let his style fool you. Obviously, Floyd is on another extreme with timing and reflexes but Pac's timing is also impressive. Pac doesn't just mindlessly throw punches, if he was slower I would assume his punches would be coming harder and with his movement and feints, he'll land his shots against all but the most proficient defensive or fast fighters.
Pac with no speed doesnt mean he'd be the slowest fighter on earth... It just means he'd probably only land 4 punches as opposed to 6.
Also, timing isnt an attribute, it's a skill. Reflexes, foot speed, hand speed, long arms, granite chin, etc are attributes (temperament and heart included). Thing
sthat you just HAVE . Imo, timing is along the lines of mechanics...so counterpunching, left hook delivery, guard, head movement, etc are learned or honed skills (some people are inherently better than others obviously).
So I guess...Pac's will to engage is his greatest attribute. Perfect example of the saying "Fortune favors the bold".Comment

i choose speed. but with pacquiao it's hard to pin one thing that makes him great. it's really the combination of things that make him great. speed, footwork, awkward angles, heart, timing, power, etc.Comment

besides the speed obviously, its really his counter punching. He is the one of the most underrated counter punchers ever. He counters the jab as good as anyone, and that was the main reason he just beat the crap out of Cotto. He rolls under hooks incredibly well, and throws an excellent check hook.
With Bradley he was feinting and getting him to over commit, and he made him pay. So yea, I would vote his counter punching, but its not an option.Comment

Pacquiao does a lot of things exceptionally well. The only caveat is that he takes too many punches and so defensively, it is his "worst" attribute.
Other than that, he moves well, he times well, he's got power, speed, freaky combos and flush punches, different angles, exceptional stamina (considering his volume of punches), his heart and his mind.
I think that latter is what makes him to learn quickly and adapt quickly as he go over heavier weight classes likewise. His 'iron will' is his aggression...Comment

Right now it's his hand and foot speed that is his greatest attribute
Entire career, it was his fighter mentality... He has the heart and attitude of a fighterComment
